Hello everyone π»,
Happy Thursday π and a very warm welcome to my report. It's been another ordinary day stepping it out and it's now time to slow down and report on how my day went. Of course not forgetting the trending stories that caught my eye π.
So without much further ado let's get into that and more π¨.
So I began my day with a brisk walk around the neighborhood. Pretty sunny π and windy as I made my way around.
It was a little chilly compared to yesterday, but I had on warm clothesπΉ.
Later on after about 20 or so minutes, I was back indoors getting on with the usual house chores.
Next I looked at some of the trending stories and also watched a bit of you tube and Twitter.
In the evening it was a little cloudy as I left for my sunset π walk. I did a few rounds in the neighbourhood before heading back indoors
I made it back safe and sound and have been watching the news and just relaxingπΉ.
So let's proceed to look at some of the trending stories.
In Gaza the situation remains dire as it's day five of Israel blocking entry of food, fuel and medicine into the strip. Weaponising aid, leaving many Palestinians sufferingπΏ.
In the other war, Zelensky says US and Ukrainian officials will meet next week in Saudi Arabia where talks on bringing lasting peace to Ukraine will be held.
Meanwhile Zelensky joined other European leaders at an emergency summit in Brussels today.
No one asked him why he wasn't wearing a suit, he was in the same shirt from that white house show downπΉ.
EU countries worried about the change of US policy with Russia. They will now have to bolster their defence and cement their support for Ukraineπ―.
In the UK, London eye is celebrating it's 25th anniversary since being opened. Over 85 million people have ridden it so farπΉ.
Across the pond in the US, Trump has paused some Canada and Mexico tariffs until next month. He probably realized he was shooting himself in the foot with these tariff hikes. Next month is not far, we are waitingπΉ.
Finally, a private US company says it has landed a spacecraft close to the Moon's South Pole but fears the machine is not upright. The Athena spacecraft is communicating with Earth, but is not in the correct positionπ.
It is the second time an Intuitive Machines spacecraft has landed in an irregular position on the Moon.
The company is partnering with US space agency Nasa to look for evidence of water and ice on the lunar surface, as Nasa aims to send humans back to the Moon. Human fascination with space continuesπΉ.
So that was Thursday and I thank you for reading. Let's hook up tomorrow on a high five Friday as we look forward to the weekend.
Stay safe, take care and good bye β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π»
