Happy Sunday 😊 and a very warm welcome to my report. It is the last Sunday of May and the stepping continued unabated.
As always thank you for stopping by on this day of gratitude. We are definitely blessed to alive in this day and age💯.
So let's proceed to take a look at how my day went including the trending stories that caught my eye 👀 from around the globe.
Here we go again 💨.
This morning was quite drizzly 🌧️ so I didn't make it for the morning walk😿. Instead I did some bit of stretching and yoga indoors.
Then I got into the usual chores around around the house. Vacuuming and laundry was quite tedious as I haven't done it in three days.
Throughout the day I have been following the trending news, watching YouTube and being on X too.
The day was cloudy and a little sunny 🌞 especially later in the afternoon. However, it drizzled yet again this evening 🙀. As soon as the drizzling was over I was out for a walk around the neighborhood.
That evening breeze was a bit chilly but I was warmly dressed😹.
So that was the stepping and now lets look at what has been happening around the world.
Shocking news from Gaza where at least 35 Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli attack on a tent ⛺ camp in Rafa.
It's an area that had been designated as safe for civilians and they had set up their shelters.
The attack has caused major fires🔥 to spread throughout the tents, causing more misery for the displaced people🙀.On top of that the injured have no where to go as the Kuwait hospital is overburdened and out of supplies.
The ICC had already issued an order to Israel to stop attacks in Rafa.
In response, Hamas fired eight rockets🚀 targeting central Israel, including Tel Aviv. Sirens rang out in Israel for the first time in months. Several of the rockets were intercepted by the air defence system.
In Europe, Lithuania's president Gitanas Nauseda has declared victory in final round of the presidential election. Partial results showed him far ahead of rival, PM Ingrida. Congratulations 🎉 to him 🎊.
Also trending, French president, Macron has made a rare state visit to Germany to boost ties and defend democracy.
Across the pond in the US, tornadoes and storms have left a trail of destruction in parts of Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas🙀. At least 11 people, including two children have been killed 😿.
More crazy weather as cyclone Remal slammed into Bangladesh where close to 800,000 people were forced to evacuate from their homes in low lying coastal areas.
Good thing they evacuated, winds of upto 120km/h or 75 mph have caused lots of destruction🙀.
All's well that ends well 💯.
Finally, another case of severe turbulence reported on Qatar airways flight from Doha to Dublin. Injuries reported🙀.
This after last week's Singapore airlines turbulence incident, where someone died😿.
If you are flying please keep your seatbelt fastened when that light comes on. Turbulence is being worsened by global warming. Stay safe 💯.
