Happy Tuesday🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report. As always glad you stopped by and I urge you to keep reading as I let you know how my day went plus share some of the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
Let's get into it, right away 💨.
So I had a rather short morning walk, the drizzling 🌧️ subsided just around nine o'clock and I decided to step out for a walk around the neighborhood.
The sun 🌞 shone through momentarily but the ☁️ clouds took over aggressively😹. Then I was back indoors for the usual house chores and following up on the trending stories.
My next walk was this evening but that was cut short by the rain🙀. The rain stopped around 7:30 and I was back outdoors finishing up on my walk. At least I made it to 10k steps, that's what I aim for as a minimum.
So that was the stepping and now let's take a look at what was trending.
After killing 45 Palestinians in Rafa on Sunday, today Israeli airstrikes hit Al Mawasi camp killing 21 Palestinians still in an area that had been designated as 'safe'.😿.
The injured have no where to go as Rafa's remaining hospitals have no supplies and personnel🙀. Adding to their misery.
Israeli tanks have been rolling into Rafa as the offensive continues.
Trending in Europe, three eu members have formally recognized Palestine as a state.
Ireland, Norway and Spain have expressed support for a two state
solution saying it's the only viable way to lasting peace in the region.
They will recognize the pre 1967 borders with Palestine's capital in east Jerusalem.
Pressure is building on other EU countries to make a decision on the Israel/Palestine issue 😹.
Israel is angry with the decision of the 3 countries, calling it a reward for terrorism🙀.
Also trending, Ukrainian president Zelensky has continued his trip in Europe with a stop in Belgium.
Belgium has pledged military aid to help Ukraine fight off Russia.
In Georgia the parliament has overridden the president's veto and passed the controversial foreign agents bill🙀.
That bill may be a deal breaker for Georgia's plan to join the EU. Critics say the bill is similar to one passed in Russia and will infringe on people's rights😿.
Across the pond in the US, closing arguments are being heard in Trump's hush money trial. Soon the jury will be ready with a decision😹.
Meanwhile, Canadian PM, Trudeau has said his country will continue to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. Adding that Canada in no way supported military operations by Israel in Rafa.
Finally, Columbian congress are discussing a bill that proposes a ban on bull fighting🙀. A centuries old tradition that is fast losing value among the public.
