took it easy today, and shot for 15k as part of @cryptospa’s catch me if you can contest, which had a "take it easy" theme this week. thank god for that, otherwise i might have done something even stupider than normal. i guess there's always tomorrow for doing stupider than normal things. i can't wait to find out what sort of stupid thing i do.
anyway, i was just blown away by the blazing crazy great views in the fireblasted forest i somehow stumbled into today. there i was minding my own business wandering up some unnamed ridge above twin lakes, and then all of a sudden i'm in a burn area. i imagine what happened is some idiot camper failed to properly extinguish their campfire, and now lo and behold we have all this wondrous spread of charred natural beauty to admire.
thanks a bunch, idiot camper.
