"Parasite", you can not believe my expression when I first saw this news of this parasitic fungus that turns the ants into zombies; it is scientifically called O. unilateralis seizes its host, specifically the carpenter ants of the rainforest in Brazil, this binds to the ant's metabolism controlling its nervous system, forces it out of its home to be deposited on a leaf where it will anchor to die in 10 days while it is rotting all his body inside and then go through his head, throwing spores that are responsible for infecting other ants that are nearby. Dark, it looks like something out of a horror movie. I wanted to represent this parasite by owning a forest fairy, I retouched it in photoshop to darken some areas and add those layers that I love blue and yellow.

"Parásito", no podrán creer mi expresión cuando vi por primera vez esta noticia de este hongo parásito que convierte a las hormigas en zombies; es llamado científicamente O. unilateralis se apodera de su huesped, especificamente de las hormigas carpinteras de la selva tropical en Brasil, este se une al metabolismo de la hormiga controlando su sistema nervioso, la obliga a salir de su hogar para depositarse en una hoja donde se anclará para morir en 10 días mientras va pudriendo todo su organismo por dentro para luego salir por su cabeza, botando esporas que se encargarán de infectar a otras hormigas que se encuentren cerca. Tenebroso, parece sacado de una película de terror. Quise representar a este parásito poseyendo a un hada del bosque, lo retoqué en photoshop para oscurecer mucho mas algunas zonas y agregarles esas capas que tanto me gustan de azul y amarillo.

Usé un color vinotinto para realizar el boceto previo, de esta manera al echarle la acuarela iba a evitar esas feas manchas grises que suelen ensuciar el dibujo

I went little by little, adding the details each time I threw a layer of watercolor, so in that way I could watch the result that was left, since, I really had no idea how I was going to paint it, using color pencil to add the shadows

Fui poco a poco, agregándole los detalles cada vez que tiraba una capa de acuarela, de tal manera que fuese viendo como iba quedando el resultado, ya que, realmente no tenia idea de cómo lo iba a pinta, usando lápices de colores para aplicar las sombras
