I've never had the opportunity to explore but did take a helicopter from Penzance the islands looked amazing. It was a glorious day and you could have been in the Caribbean.
Just to explain, I guess we did have the opportunity to explore but didn't. The wife and I holidayed down there in the mid naughties and had never been on a helicopter; we try to do something new with each holiday. Arranging a tourist flight was mega expensive but we were advised that if you get the helicopter from Penzance and didn't get off you didn't have to pay any taxes! We got a tour of the south Cornish coast and the islands for about £20 each if I recall correctly. I think it has all closed down now.
