Impaired Sight Distance!!😲
Silvertop awoke early this morning to intense smoke!😳
This Saturday Liz and I had a 9-12 AM meeting at Church to discuss planning for the upcoming year.
We are still working on installing the new sound equipment, and everyone was interested in an update from us, and a potential ETA for completion.😊
A breakfast was served for all attending, you can see some of the yummy foods in the fifth photo!🤗

In one of the display cases at Church is a replica set of ancient Roman coins that you can see in the last photo.
Even being replicas they are interesting………..😊
By 11 AM the smoke had more than doubled in thickness!😮
Sumas Mountain was now completely hidden behind this smoke!
Liz is our lead vocal, so I knew she wasn’t hiking in this smoke.
“Liz I sat all morning in meetings, I’ll put on an N-95 mask and hike to the “High Trail !”
This smoke isn’t healthy to breathe, after I returned home we decided to turn on the A/C the cooler drier air cuts down on particulate matter.
Now we need a weather front to blow this stagnant air out to sea……..
Till tomorrow, and maybe a less smokey day…….. Silvertop Mike 🤣
