My Actifit Report Card: March 5 2019 - Morning Cross Country

I'm not at work today, so I've taken advantage of the extra time to do a run. I went for some intervals over the fields. Just have to watch my step as it can be uneven, but this can also strengthen the ankles.

It's fairly cool this morning, but bright and dry.

Run

I went a bit further to the edge of RAF Henlow this time, so I had completed the set intervals by the time I turned back. These were the pyramid intervals that get longer, up to 90s, then shorter again. It looks like I was getting under 5min/km on those, which bodes well. I just need to sustain that pace to achieve my goal of a 25min 5km.

I think if I were to start running the cross-country/woods style running would be more my idea of fun. Something about being out in nature. If I ever get to that point though, I should probably start slow. I would probably be the one to mess up my ankle for sure.

You do have to take care of course. It is mostly open fields around us, but you can still see some wildlife. I like to get away from the roads and traffic noise.
