Day 2 of a three-day Aikido seminar. Today I earned the "martial arts" tag. The surprisingly low step count (for a day of training) is evidence of the fact that my dojo mates took charge of the setup and cleanup, and I hardly needed to do anything but train. That, and I still have a bit of a cough so I had to stop off the mat several times. And I dunno, maybe my Fitbit tucked inside my belt didn't register my steps that well today.
Everyone is energized whenever a highly experienced Sensei comes to train with us. The training is great and Sensei takes care to highlight some areas for each of us to focus on going forward: both the things we are doing right and the things we need to improve.
I love having caring and skilled mentors in my life.
