My Actifit Activity Log [11.27.2018] SPIRIT - SUMMARY

I’ve been discussing the SPIRIT health compounder over the last couple of days. Who knew there was so much to observe about this topic hey!?

It’s an often overlooked and misunderstood subject that is worth learning more about. In fact I’m still learning about this aspect of health every day... because it’s really about self-discovery.

So! A special thank you to everyone following along. I will attempt to summarize everything we have covered about SPIRIT in this post after which (in my next post) I will list some of the activities I have discovered that increase spiritual health and well-being.

So here we go!

When I mention “health compounder” what I mean by this is, “An activity that, if done every day, compounds that specific aspect of health.”

As an example: I have found that going for a leisurely walk is a great activity not only for the mind and body but for the spirit. By walking every day I have found that I am able to benefit in the aspects of my spiritual health. The result of which is compounded ONLY IF IT IS PRACTICED ON A DAILY BASIS.

Personally I have had many shifts and breakthroughs while slowing down and going for a casual walk outdoors. There are activities that feed the spirit and walking is just one of many. (Please keep in mind that all health compounders can compound both positively or negatively depending of the activity selected!)

Another aspect to consider is that, at a fundamental level SPIRIT is the WHY that drives and brings life to all activity. Without a solid and clearly defined reason for doing anything extra motivation will only wane and die on the vine.

Spirit is also the main determinant to the other aspects of health. The SPIRIT compounder is what sets the limits. Without a healthy spirit it is difficult to remain steadfast long enough to substantiate results in the other areas of health.

That’s why setting S.M.A.R.T. GOALS (please read my other posts about this... just scroll down the feed!) beginning with SPIRIT are so important. Having your WHY figured out allows the MIND and BODY to fully optimize in the direction you set for yourself. It’s the easiest way to move from point [A] to point [B]each!

Expansion of what you want from life is what brings about the spiritual energy required to effect true and lasting change. Avoid shrinking down your dreams and aspirations at all costs! Expand your ambition for increased amounts of motivation! It’s all too easy to stunt motivation by setting goals that are restricted by life’s prescribed “realities” and limitations. This is what ultimately crushes the spirit and demotivates all life altering change. It’s far better to live a lifestyle where you are in the habit of stretching and expanding your capacity and what you aspire to.

Setting goals (like I’m going to save up and buy a lawn mower) just isn’t going to cut it. The BIGGER your dreams, aspirations, and goals are the more raw energy you will have to devote to making good things happen! Better to think big! Don’t be a dot on the page! Write the whole damn book!

Let your spirit run wild just like when you were a kid! Life was a real adventure back then wasn’t it!?

Well... If your lacking the drive, determination, and motivation to step out and make things happen then you have got to be honest with yourself. The world hasn’t changed... you have! Recharge your spirit with activities that enhance that aspect of your health and well-being! Compound real results in this lifetime... not the next! Taking care of your spirit with activities that truly build you up is the way to go! Don’t listen to all the negative downers out there... those people are just the ones who have given up on their dreams and aspirations!

When you set goals that fully engage your spirit you unlock your secret power! It’s the difference between dragging yourself up a set of stairs and bounding up them two at a time! Sounds pretty good right?!

If you want REAL results... you have got to take your spirit seriously. It’s a real factor in expanding and compounding your overall motivation and subsequent mental and physical results.

Goals you can grab onto are ones that are connected deeply to who you are on the inside and why you are doing what your doing on a daily basis. Taking the time to compound your spirit is something you will never regret!
