!REVIEW! =Mezco ONE:12 - Spider-Man Homecoming

in actionfigures •  3 years ago  (edited)

Hello everyone!
Today I want to offer you an Action figure that really impressed me, and I certainly could not start with a Spider-Man xD

It is a figure from the Mezco ONE: 12 line (they tend to make various action figures with clothes, so
go to cover the classic joints, like the Hot-Toys but not quite comparable at that level of detail.
The figure has a height of 15.5 CM (6 inch)

The one I'm going to tell you about is the Spider-Man from the movie "SPiderman-Man: Homecoming".

The box is quite large compared to the classic action, it is 28x23 cm. and done by slide.
On the front we find at the top the name of which action figure it is, in the center and in large the logo of the film title,
at the bottom left the manufacturer's logo (MezcoONE: 12) and the classic Marvel logo at the bottom right and all the writings
they are shiny and in a slight relief on a light blue / blue background.

The side of the box has a red background with the spider logo, same that on the costume in slight relief.

The back, as usual for action figures, features images of the figure itself and description
of all the accessories supplied, various pictures of poses that our Spider-Man can take.

Removing the slide reveals a black window box that "spoils" the figure and some accessories)

Taking out the classic blister, we immediately see the figures and the various accessories
(round pedestal with movie logo, 2 interchangeable heads, 3 sets of hands, spiderweb wings, a spider web made "in wire",
a "bullet" web and a "conical" web to reproduce the various classic actions of our
Spider)

We find another blister below the main one containing other accessories
(an envelope to hold all the pieces, a magnetic clamp to attach Spider everywhere and the classic arm with
clamp to attach to the pedestal supplied)

But let's move onto the actual figure:
Starting at the top, the head and neck are completely in plastic with small, slightly raised webs
which echo those of the suit.
The eyes of the stock head are open (let's say neutral expression) and with a retina effect printed in the
white part.

Coming down, the suit is very well done !!!! xD
very faithful to the costume seen in the film.
The red part of the costume is in a "rubberized" material, the webs are printed and not embossed, while
the spider logo and the black parts of the costume are embossed.
On the back also the spider logo is in the "rubberized" material, and faithfully reproduced.

The blue part is in fabric, also present the blue stripes that faithfully reproduce the lines of the costume of the film.
Forearms and hands are made of plastic with details in slight relief, such as spider webs,
but the detachment with the fabric is very little noticeable!

Going down, the same goes for boots and feet

For the joints:
The head can be bent to look up with a very good radius, and it can look quite well
even down.
Then we have the lateral head bending and rotation through a ball joint

The arms have a nice radius by lifting them up, rotation back and forth without any kind of problem as
the fabric is very flexible. Bicep rotation, small butterfly joint to close \ open the arm slightly
laterally, double elbow joint and ball joint at the wrist to bend and rotate the hand.

As for the torso we have the forward movement and backward movement with a good bend, bend lateral and classic rotation of the pelvis.
(Of course all seams are hidden by the fabric costume)

IMG_20210630_181330.jpg

Great upward bending of the legs, a little less backwards instead.
Side opening capable of doing a split and rotation of the thigh, double joint in the knee
and ball joint at the ankle that allows you to bend the foot up and down, bend it sideways and rotate.

In conclusion it is a very well made figure, the fabric costume is faithful to the one seen in the film,
does not oppose any resistance to the joints during the poses which in my opinion is a strong point in favor of him!
Highly posable, full of accessories to reproduce his classic poses (or whatever you want)

This line is very well studied, from the concept of the joints to the final details, such as quality and price it is excellent (for those who do not want to spend 400 euros for a Hot-Toys it is an excellent compromise)
and in a shop window he makes his AMAZING view xD !!!

PERSONAL VOTES:

  • Accessories - 9 (many and beautiful accessories, in my opinion the uncovered head of Peter Parker would be missing)
  • Joints - 10 (no problem with the costume, and no fear of ruining it in push-ups)
  • Aesthetics - 9.5 (visibly practically perfect !! I would have made the eyes of the heads a little better)

And that's all for today, see you soon with a new review ;-)

See ya,
Spidermiles
