Standing Up For What You Believe

We can all learn something from this beautiful young woman.

Elin Ersson is the brave soul that stood up for a man who was being deported from Sweden. Not an easy task when you have the majority of the people on that flight against you. Even that wasn't enough to stop Elin.

In my heart of hearts, I stand behind these good hearted activists who go to great lengths to prevent acts of deportation. Storming runways, blocking airport entrances, and like this case, refusing to take a seat until both activist and deportee are safely off the plane.

Elin Ersson learned that a flight was going to have a man being deported back to Afghanistan, so she bought a ticket for the same flight in attempts to save his life.

During the 2:28 video clip you can hear people who are against her, but she also won some hearts as well. They applauded her for her bravery and selflessness. You will see her hold back her tears and remain strong, eventually letting her tears stream down her face in such a volatile situation.

She live-streamed her heroic act on Facebook and delayed the flight by 2 hours. A flight attendant told her it's her countries rules doing this and she replied "I am trying to change my countries rules, I do not like them. It's not right to send people to hell."

She eventually won over some hearts and they began to stand with her. The Afghan deportee and Elin Ersson were escorted off the plane, albeit he remained in custody for later deportation.

Wow! That was really a brave move! Imagine someone spending her own money and expending her energy on a course that most people will tag " not my f**king damn business!" so nice to know that such type of selfless people are still in our world. Kudos to her.

Brave lady she inspired me a lot
