Today, the villagers and I gathered at the village hall to help fill the food packages that will be distributed to the underprivileged. The atmosphere of enthusiasm and togetherness was felt in the village hall. We worked together, shared tasks and helped each other so that the distribution of food packages could run smoothly.

Measuring basic necessities before we distribute them

This time, the food packages contained rice as the main staple food, as well as several other ingredients such as cooking oil, sugar and instant noodles. I and several residents were tasked with filling and measuring into sacks, small plastic bags so that they were evenly distributed to each recipient. While others arranged the packages to make them easier to distribute.

In between work, we chatted casually and occasionally joked, making the atmosphere warmer. Although the work was quite tiring, everything felt light because it was done together with the intention of helping others.

After all the packages were ready, we prepared to distribute them. Some residents came directly to the village hall to pick up their packages, while some we delivered directly to the homes of those who were entitled to receive them. The happy faces and words of gratitude from those who received the assistance made all our efforts feel very meaningful.

This activity is not only about sharing basic necessities, but also about strengthening ties and fostering a sense of caring for others. I feel grateful to be able to participate, hopefully this assistance can ease the burden of those in need.
