Acupuncture for Longevity

Linda Yamamoto is an 84-year-old Japanese-American woman who has received acupuncture from the Boston Acupuncture Clinic for over 9 years. She stayed home until her youngest child went to high school. Then, at that point, I started working in the public body as an accountant. She was exceptionally friendly, dynamic and cheerful. She gave money to a foundation to help Asian students out of luck. She does not travel much, which gives her the opportunity to participate in many types of social exercises in the Boston area and her husband drives her around and she gets upset when her husband forgets to pick her up and rarely complains.

Great genes don't guarantee good health

Linda acquired wonderful qualities from her mother, who lived to the age of 98 with almost no health insurance. However, these great qualities do not protect Linda from getting sick. She developed hypothyroidism when she turned 40 after giving birth to her third child. I started taking Synthroid for a thyroid condition. Two years after a thyroid prescription, she caused atrial fibrillation (AF). Then, at that point, she took a beta-blocker and two different prescriptions for her heart condition. Her heartbeat returned with the medication but it didn't become normal.

HRT (chemo-replacement therapy) carries the dreams of many postmenopausal women. They believed that they could reclaim their childhood by eating this enchanted pill. Linda tried it at age 68 just to see her period return a year later. It felt like it wasn't regular and immediately stopped the chemical pill. Her great qualities cannot be guaranteed in the current culture. Linda created a malignant growth on her lap at the age of 70 after taking chemical improvements for a year. She underwent a medical procedure and radiotherapy, but did not take tamoxifen to block estrogen receptors, thus maintaining muscle tone.

At the age of 80, she left the public authority job because she realized the pressure was too much for her. I invested more energy in the encounters. She generally falls asleep eight hours no matter what time she hits the sack. When she was heading to sleep after 12 noon, her pulse became unpredictable and her absorption would become weak. And for a long time, I went to many late-night get-togethers and ate after 7pm. During that time, her impulses were unpredictable despite the fact that she was taking three prescriptions for her conditions. I suggested she stop drinking espresso, eat before 7pm and go to bed before 12pm.

Back on Track with a Disciplined Healthy Routine

Linda slowly changed her tendencies. Cardiac condition and absorption have improved in recent years. She went to the cardiologist for routine checkups and finally shut down her business completely at 87. Linda keeps coming to see me for a facial revival for acupuncture. Her heart rate is about 55-65 without a heart prescription. Besides, since she gave up her meds, the freshness in her grip and feet has waned, and she doesn't turn incredibly pale throughout the cold time of year.

As her heart condition improved, she began preparing individually at an exercise center to tone her muscles. When I first started lifting three times each week, she experienced knee and hip pain. But because she was practicing good eating habits, she had no active exacerbations and her muscle pain was eased with just one or two acupressure medications. With needle therapy and activities, she is no longer bothered by joint exacerbation and Raynaud's disorder. Her face looks like 50 years old. She already has a strong memory and always remembers taking care of her bills on schedule. She still cooks, cleans and lives in her own home.

In 2016, Linda fell into the shower and fractured her thoracic vertebrae and shrank a few inches. I was completely sad, so much so that she might always be unable to move forward with reviving her face in acupressure. Since Linda had been training seemingly forever, she had the option of recovering from the horrific fall within two months. She went back to physiotherapy 3 months after her fall and he told me she had grown more kinks on one side of her face. By the time we met in the lounge area, she said she would like me to use acupressure to reduce these imbalances. Two of my patients, who were in the lounge area, were very impressed by the complexion of her face and the tone of her muscles. They thought she was 60 when the truth was she was 93.
