Most people outside of Canada have no idea of the amount of addicts this country has. The age range is significant as well. You have addicts ranging from the late teens right up into the age of 70 plus. These people start out at an early age, and as they grow older, their addiction grows as well.
You may ask what are they addicted to? Well there are a few things that they have become addicted to, but the one most of them are addicted to is... Tim Hortons coffee. Yes, that's what I said, COFFEE! You can't blame them though, it's almost un-Canadian to not at the very least like Timmies. I'm an addict as well, have been for many, many, years.
Tim Horton was a famous Canadian hockey player, who loved coffee. he started a coffee business that has expanded over the years. Many people compare Tim Hortons coffee to the American equivilent, StarBucks... not even close. Timmies is far better and much cheaper.
Most people here start their workday off by stopping in to a Tim Hortons, or going through the drive-through to pick up their morning fix. I can't remember the last time I went to work, without stopping at Timmies along the way. Yes, we Canadians are addicted to coffee, Tim Hortons coffee. Caffiene is actual considered a drug of sorts, and I don't care, without that caffiene in the morning, I am just not prepared for the rest of the day.
What goes with a cup of coffee, a cigarette of course. This is a whole other addiction, one that can actually kill you eventually. We all have heard how cigarettes have been linked to cancer. Yet so many of us ignore these facts and continue with our smoking.
I have changed cigarettes for vaping, and although the jury is still out on whether vaping is harmful to our health or not, I consider it trading one addiction for another. In case you are wondering what vaping is, it is actually the use of an electronic cigarette of sorts, that you fill with a flavored liquid, which is heated and causes vapor, which you inhale. Some of these liquids contain nicotine, some do not. The ones I use are all tobacco flavored and have nicotine in them, the difference between vaping and smoking is that vaping does not have all the other nasty chemicals in the liquid that cigarettes contain.
Yes folks, we here in Canada are addicted, addictions come from many things, and many people don't realize it. Some people don't think coffee is an addiction, but tell them they are not allowed to have it anymore... well lets just say that wouldn't sit too well with them!
