A Better Way to Browse Blockchain
Earlier this month, Coinbase launched a new educational interface called Coinbase Earn. With a creative lens, the world's most popular crypto wallet is quickly becoming more than an exchange app - it's now a steward for exemplifying blockchain utility.
We expect earning to become an increasingly important function in the crypto ecosystem– alongside buying and mining– especially when paired with education.

Basic Attention Token (or BAT) is the first showcase within Coinbase Earn. Instead of simply prompting users to BUY or SELL, this landing page (here) prompts the crypto-curious to understand the use behind the digital advertising token. With a series of introductory videos, users can learn all about BAT, how to earn it, and even be rewarded by it. Each visitor who completes the full series of short video tutorials can earn up to $10 USD in BAT. Afterwards, they can use the tokens to support the publishers that they like or simply learn and hodl.
Earn Crypto While Learning About Crypto
BAT is now one of three cryptocurrencies on the Coinbase Earn homepage. You'll actually get paid to learn about them. Each "lesson" is valued anywhere from $3 to $10 USD - paid out of course as BAT, Zcash, or 0x.
But aside from the token-incentives, it's exciting to see an exchange play a more active role in education. One of the most obvious issues throughout the 2018 crypto rise and fall was how little people knew about their own investments. Finally, the blockchain landscape is bearing new fruit in the form of applications. Within each of these unique blockchain portals, cryptocurrencies can be utilized and put to work.
