Adrogavi - Alpha v0.12, minor update - Added: Https, Voting power slider, Visitor view for site (No need to log in anymore to get a taste), Sharing questions

in adrogavi •  7 years ago  (edited)

@steevc asked for a possibility to view the site without logging in to get a feel for the site. It is now in as a very basic feature but I already have some interesting ideas in regards to making it as easy as possible for everyone to start using the site.

Adrogavi as an visitor

As said above, currently this is in as a very basic feature. At the moment visitors get to see all questions created on the app from newest to oldest. In the future there will be ways to modify the feed and save these additions, just like an logged in user. More on that in coming posts.

Visit the site as an visitor yourself - Adrogavi - Now without warnings thanks to SSL.

Voting power slider

Voting power slider has been added. Before the voting power was locked in as 10% and there was no way to change that. Questions and answers now have their own separate voting power slider. Meaning that your voting power on questions could be locked in at 30% and on answers at 15% at the same time. Let me know what you think about it.

It's not perfect yet, but usable.

Sharing questions

Example

You should be now able to share questions with others via links. See the example.

Now with https

No more warnings for users when they try to enter the site. Not a good first impression.

But isn't it for open sourced projects that are on Github?

Yes, but it's recommended to make it opensource, if you ask me.

I'll look into it once I get up to the task of cleaning up the code.
