So There Was This Article
and it really kind of ruined my day. I've purposely put off commenting about it until it was past payout so as to bring less attention to it and having someone accidentally upvote it more than that crap already was. Yes, crap. Total shit post in my opinion. Why? The main reason being, this author supposedly spent $1000 on bot ads just to get to trending to 'get @adsactly's attention'.
Seriously?
It was an obvious attempt to slander a very good organization that has built itself steadily on this blockchain. They could have just as easily DM'd them on Discord or joined their server and talked to them openly without causing a scene and making themselves look like some whiny asshat. In a true legal procession, no attorney would have allowed such a post to even be made. You sir, are full of shit. I don't really care who was behind the fake profile, honestly. It does appear though, there is some bad blood for some reason.
Even If
Even if they had a failed ICO, it doesn't change the good they've done here on the STEEM blockchain. I have bought into some failing ones myself and a few succeeded. Even if they had a failed MLM, it doesn't change the good they've done here on the STEEM blockchain. I have an extensive network marketing background and the vast majority were failures. I didn't know them then, I know them now and what they ARE DOING HERE. Every failure and every win is called learning.
So Why DO I Support @adsactly?
Some of my very first posts were for a rap challenge that was sponsored by ADSactly and ran by @rondonson which was my initial exposure to the community. Shortly after #thealliance was being constructed, one of their more prominent members, @velimir, joined the family and explained to me about their goals. He is a great photographer and writer. Since I've gotten closer to other members like @princessmewmew and @soyrosa, the mutual support has only grown. Then one day, out of no where, they approached me personally. We had a nice long live voice chat and we both walked away with new respects for each other as we share many similar views. The main one being - paying it forward. They've never asked me for a single penny.
Enough of That Bullshit
I said my piece and wanted to give everyone an update on my witness. Everything is running smooth and I am waiting for a stable version of the 19.10 to be released. My protege @jatinhota and fellow witness is also anxious. I do feel that editing an old post has its benefits as perhaps a link someone has in there is no longer valid or maybe circumstances are just different altogether. Maybe it says vote @wackou or @jerrybanfield for witness and since they are no longer on the board, you get my drift. I'm also still trying what I can do to get the decaying witness votes situated, but it's a slow process.
The New Banner
I have tried to incorporate everything I am a part of and support here on the blockchain but there are a few that either I didn't have the right graphics for or just couldn't find one. But, most of them are there lol! I will try to go through the list of things (I may forget a few) I support consistently (one way or another) for you:
- @thealliance - This is the family I have created, fostered and love. We are quality content providers and engage with each other on a level of excellence.
- @adsactly - I believe I already stated my position and gave good reasons why I support that community.
- @ssg-community/ #steemsilvergold - I got that stackitus and I'm totally a pirate.
- @welcomewagon - Probably the best initiative I've seen to hone in on new Steempeeps with potential.
- @ramblingradio/ #PYPT/ @steemitramble - One of the best curation efforts I've come across in this huge ocean of shit and shine.
- @spl - I seriously love playing cards, just a fun way to spend a few hours and cut up.
- @buddyup - Another fantastic curation community out here swimming along beautifully.
- @thesteemengine - What's that? Oh right, again, fabulous curation going on over here on the chooga chooga woo woo.
- @freedomtribe - This is a new support community all about freedom and love, which, I am all about.
- @youarehope - Blockchain based non-profit charity organization most of us already know and love.
- @tarc- I just love animals, cats, dogs, snakes, turtles, you name it, gotta love 'em.
- @freewritehouse - I love the creativity they breed over there!
- @poetsunited - Being a poet myself, how could I not?
- @mbc-meps/ @minnowbootcamp - I love the way they are training Steempeeps over here and supporting one another.
- @stsl - Still sharing the Steem Love over there, keep it up!
- @tyedyefirepower - Curation in a fine manner for several groups.
- @thewritersblock - Harnessing the power of the chain and giving focus to print literature.
- @teamgood - Supporting the collective jedi mind on the platform, except with alpacas.
- @steembasicincome - This is just awesome, seriously guys, great job.
- #theplayhouse - Don't know if that's even a tag, but it's run by @carrieallen and @chrisroberts - muahahahahahahahaha!
- @sma - The Steemit Music Alliance, if you don't know, you been told now.
- @ropavejero - A charity in Venezuela dedicated to refurbishing run-down schools.
On The Lookout
I'm always looking for new or struggling ideas and initiatives to help out with because as I grow, I really do try to pay it forward and help others grow. I know what it's like to struggle, probably better than a lot of you will ever have to know. So, if there is anyone out there that has an idea or knows of something, please leave me a comment or get in touch with me on discord. STeeM on my peoples.

I just read the article ... and I think everything is very uncertain, this guy does not even present the slightest proof against adsactly ... and so his words only remain is that, in words!
While adsactly has done a lot with actions, helping to grow this platform in a good way, helping many minnows , eduacting people and sharing good stuff about crypto!!
This guy just wants to sink them talking badly, and "just talking" will not succeed, @adsactly has the respect of many!

Ok so I read the entire article and I am kinda baffled as to WTF is happening?
They are not providing any proof that they sent any Bitcoin to @adsactly and is asking all of us to just believe him.
Then again he is asking some money to be sent to him so that he can fight this supposed lawsuit.
Something smells fishy.
Props to @adsactly for not downvoting that post as I know for sure if he wanted that post would have never seen the light of Day.
Oh I forgot to mention the fact that he did not even reply to even a single comment in that post.

I know right? Like I said, bad blood about something, maybe they got kicked out of @adsactly in the past or something. Who spends a thousand dollars on bots and then turns around and asks for money????
As for them not downvoting it, yes, that was HUGE of them and spoke volumes. You are quite the keen one bro.

Those little things shows that @adsactly has nothing to hide.
Plus when I saw that the other Guy never even replied to a single comment regardless of the comment being positive/negative, that just sealed the deal for me. It definitely looks like a phishing expedition.

Bad publicity is still publicity, and it only proved the integrity of @adsactly as a whole by their actions and comment. It is odd they haven't replied to anything on there...

Hello my witness!
We all know those stats about how much energy Bitcoin uses. Do you have any stats about how much the steem blockchain requires?

If you were in Venezuela, it would cost you about 600 USD to mine one BTC. The global average to mine a single BTC is around 5k. Compare that to a witness server that can possibly earn 1 Steem every 63 seconds averaging out to literally pennies if you are in the top 20. The energy consumption is by far, much less, if I had to ballpark it? Bitcoin mining probably uses 10,000 (at minimum) times more energy than being a witness for the Steem Chain.

It's good math, but are there any solid numbers on it? After all, there are people trying to move up the witness ranks that also have to be running and using energy. Is it known how many there are and how much energy they all together use? My father's reason for not getting on Steemit is that he knows about how much energy is getting used to run most blockchains, and doesn't want to contribute to global warming. Does running steemit require more energy than it would if it were a more traditional platform, like Facebook?

I would think based on the userbase, it uses a lot less than Facebook but don't quote me on it. Someone that might know more specific data is @drakos. I know he is often checking stats and doing comparative research but I will see what I can find for more exact numbers😎

After I read the article I thought the same thing - well-thinking beings with a basic understanding of how the world works would not take that post seriously :-) Allthough I was honestly shocked by how many people simply fall for it as well - such is life :D Thanks for being awesome @enginewitty!

I became a member of adsactly a few months ago and I met some awesome people in there. There are a really great group that are doing great things for the Steemit community. I even had the pleasure of meeting up with @bigtom13 in Vegas a few weeks ago. Too bad these "lawyers" with gmail email addresses are too jealous of people's success and want to slander others in an attempt to feel significant in this world. I fully support the adsactly community.
