A healthy adult of 50KG can donate blood easily. A new sterilized syringe is used for every blood donor and after using it is wasted. Normally, this process does not involve typical problems. If problems occur, these can be remedied by following some precautions.

A healthy diet must be taken at least three hours before donating blood.
There must be the abundant use of water at least one day before donating blood.
Further, It is beneficial for the blood donor that He must take juices prior to donate blood.
Another important thing is that blood must be cross-matched before donating in order to avoid untoward circumstances.

What do you have to say to those whose religious beliefs goes against blood donation or transfusion, and your view on indiscriminate donation of blood for money, I think I read a research topic on the alternative to blood donation /transfusions, what's your take on all these.

One must follow one's religious beliefs but in my point of view, generally, human beings should not hesitate to work for humanity and donation of blood should be for the sake of betterment of humanity. To save the life of one man is equal to saving the mankind. Moreover, the donation of blood should not be for money. In fact, it must be considered as the perpetual charity.
