The adulterous woman: ´Then neither do I condemn you,´ Jesus declared. ´God now and leave your life of sin.´ John 8:11

Jesus tells us the Gospel of John while he was teaching in the temple, a woman surprised in adultery was presented to him by the Pharisees and the teachers of the law.
This very curious case is only narrated by the evangelist John, perhaps with the intention of showing us the importance of the gift of counsel in the doctrine of the Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections. Jesus resolved in a very similar way to Solomon facing the two prostitutes who were fighting for the life of a child (1 Kings 3:16-28), or Daniel who saved Susana's life in another famous trial (Book of Daniel 13:1-64). Jesus showed us that the wisdom from above is beyond all justice and human prudence, in a world dominated by oppression the goal of wisdom is mainly to protect life.
Our Lord Jesus faced this situation with an ancient art practiced by the wisest men in the bible, the sacred listening or exact justice: perceive with attention, meditate with intuition and inspiration, decide with discernment.
This is how the Gospel of John tells us about the case of the adulterous woman:
´Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?´
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, ´Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.´ Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, ´Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?´
´No one, sir,´ she said.
´Then neither do I condemn you,´ Jesus declared. ´Go now and leave your life of sin.´" John 8:4-11.
