Snorkel alongside whale shark on a day. An up-close encounter with the world's largest extant fish.

I enjoy watching and swimming with the friendly whale sharks. This is a lifetime greatest adventure experience that I've ever had. πŸ’—

Whale shark can be seen in a small barangay tan-awan, which is 10km away from the center town of Oslob.

This became a famous tourist spot in south Cebu. Where local fishermen's interact with the whale sharks by feeding them that the result to flocking of tourist to the beach.

How to get there?

Get a Ceres bus in south bus terminal going to Oslob and stop over at brgy. Tan-awan.

I go to BCD's place whenever I go to whale shark watching. They provide GoPro if you don't have but you will pay for (500.00 peso) and for snorkel local people (550.00pesos) and for foreigner rate (1,500pesos).

I hope whale shark watching is one of your bucket list when you visit to Cebu, Philippines. 😊 I recommend it. You'll never forget this moment. πŸ‘

Indeed it is, Bella. We were supposed to visit the place a day after our meeting but unfortunately, my son needed to report to school, so we decided to go home. Better luck next time.

Yeah. Better luck next time sir. You must visit. It is really enjoyable.

Ok, @bellatravelph, this is pretty rad! To be honest, though, I would be super scared! I was in Hawaii not to long ago, and I started feeling claustrophobic while snorkeling... here you are under water with sharks!?!?

hi @mindofabeast What happen to you in Hawaii? Did you encounter the biggest fish /monster while snorkeling? I hope you were able to get back as old times that will never get scared. Yes. I swam with whale shark underwater. It's not scary because not alone so many people there and especially divers go through beyond the whale shark level. It's really fun. You could emphasize how big there mouth is. :D and how sharp there teeth are. :)

Haha! I think the mask and they way you have to breathe through the snorkle just weirded me out. I would do it agian, though.

Sounds amazing! Altgough, your comment about sharp teeth doesn't boost my confidence. Hahaha!
