Backpacking The SouthWest

in adventure •  7 years ago

This week I have started planning a trip out west, over the last 4 years I have used all my vacation time for volunteering efforts during natural disasters and man made disasters as well, also covering political events like the Republican national convention, the Democratic national convention, election protest and inauguration protest.

This year, pending no massive disaster I am planning on backpacking for 10 days out west!
I am really excited to do this because it's an oppertunity to challenge myself both mentally and physically. I think this is good for us humans, 🤔 we should challenge ourselves more often and bring the people we care about and challenge and push them to do things they never thought they could have done.

My plan is simple but amazing.
I want to camp on Tekaboo Peak near Area 51 and just star gaze.

Cruzing the desert traveling from place to place seems kinda kick ass also.

I will hike the amazing Zion National Park and swim in the emerald pools.

And hike to Havasupai falls, this is a 5 hour hike one way. But would be the climax of my trip.

Because I am operating on a non existent budget I am also going to challenge myself to spend as little as possible, meaning no hotels, restaurants or alcoholic beverages (Gasp)

Anyways. Just figured I'd share and maybe inspire someone to take a leap and go on an adventure themselves.

Thanks for reading my shitty blogs 😉

resteems are awesome!! Thanks!!
