#Ordered my Gear!

How's all of my fellow steemians today? Well I did it. Yesterday I ordered all of the gear that I could afford for the coming trip South. Of course there's always more on the dream list. I am going as light weight as I can, even though I'm a big guy it's still possible, even on a budget.

I ordered this backpack. It's the Kelty Redwing 50 Litre backpack. I had several big backpacks like the Gregory 85 litre and the Osprey 75 Litre previously but they are just way to big and I carry way to much stuff in them. This is going to be much more lightweight weighing in at 3.2 pounds instead of the 5 pounds these packs start out at.

I needed a lightweight sleeping bag but I would rather have a nice over quilt but I just couldn't afford anything that I saw so I had to settle with this bag It's very compact and light and squishes right down small.

I have this little fold up platform wood burning stove coming as well. It's light and compact when it folds up. I like that it's stainless steel so it will last a long time and high temperatures won't affect the metal. I don't want to be totally dependent on my propane stove and most everywhere's you can find something to burn in order to cook food or boil water.

I have this solar charging battery pack coming also. I like that it has twice the battery storage as a lot of other models that I looked at. It's also water resistant and can be protected from the elements. I took a GoZero charger and solar panel setup to Florida with me on my trip earlier this spring and I didn't have much luck with it. It wasn't as portable as this one. This one has great reviews on amazon so I'm going to give it a try. I met another hiker when I was hiking the Florida Trail and he had one similar to this one, but I don't remember the make of it. It was similar to the one above but he let me use it and it charged my phone pretty fast and it too was weather resist.
