Colorado Vacation for the 4th of July

We live in Colorado and are able to get out and go on some amazing adventures. It took some time for us realize all of the incredible surroundings we have in this state but we are quickly making the most of it. Last summer we went on a hike in St. Elmo on a trail that is definitely off of the beaten path but we were able to take some amazing pictures.

When I took this picture I thought it looked like it could be on a puzzle, it was just insane. Earlier this month my wife and I went on a trip to Ouray and hiked up to a waterfall on the side of a mountain.

This is for sure one of those times that you are exhausted from climbing and when it's over you realize just how amazing that was. I find that being in the mountains is very therapeutic for me, just as much as the ocean is for my wife and girls. We have a deal that we switch off summer vacations between the ocean and the mountains. This 4th of July we will be visiting the city of Glenwood Springs. I'm not sure what amazing adventures we will encounter but I am sure to document them for everyone.

I feel that the Steemit community can be an incredible place where people can share all of their life experiences with each other and learn more about the world. I can't wait to hear about other people's journeys through life and live it through their eyes and, who knows, maybe one day I will be able to visit that place as well.
