Our new friends at Wijis Waroeng were super kind and let us borrow their kitchen to make our Thai dish. Fermented fish isn't part of their usual diet like it is in Thailand or Vietnam, we substituted fish sauce for soya sauce, which was kinda weird but still worked. My girl is great at making cool friends with her Thai cooking skills.
We decided to experience people instead of visiting beautiful selfie spots
Batam is boring considered by the locals, but our little family has found what we are looking for. Delicious food, genuine conversations, and lovely people.
The owner bought her a coloring book and ice cream because we come so often with our smiles and laughter. :)
I'm happy that she makes friends so easily, I'm quite shy and quiet, having her practice her English in this fashion has given her daughter an opportunity to try it as well. Definitely no disappointments for this adventure.
