St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York
The cornerstone of St. Patrick’s Cathedral was laid in 1858 and her doors swept open in 1879. It was over 150 years ago when Archbishop John Hughes announced his inspired ambition to build the “new” St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Cathedral is one of the most important religious building in USA. It was bulid in neoghotic style like many churches in the XIX century
The cathedral, which can accommodate 3,000 people, is built of brick clad in marble. The spires rise 100.6 meters from street level, around the cathedral many high skyscrapers have been built. They create amazing panorama with cathedral
