Reporting here from Nampa ID, near the NNU campus. Just returning from my 1 ½ hour adventure with my stepson today.

We had originally planned to go to Table-Rock east of Boise but it started raining so we came home to Nampa, I wanted to still have an outdoor adventure & I had brought up geocaching. My girl friend didn't want to go since she was still tired from working overtime this morning. I had convinced her son to come so we can have some bonding time & "treasure hunt" as he calls it. I have decided to not take photographs of the locations, cache or the direct areas to leave the mystery for those who may stumble across the same area..Who knows who could be reading this!

First stop was the most southern mark on the map above. The yellow smiley indicates a cache was found & logged by you in the app. this one was rather easy to find, the cords were very accurate & the spot only had 1 hiding spot & there it was. I'm glad we visited this one so early in the year because the was a wasp nest of some kind sharing the hiding spot with the cache. The cache itself had a surprise for us but it wasn't inside it was in the form of a Phidippus Audax ~ Bold Jumping Spider. I carefully removed our friend to be able to open the cache. Inside was paper & a penny, the penny was from 88' so I figured it was in there for trade, we didn't have anything small enough to put in & no pen either(I cant believe I forgot a pen! lawl) so we must return to log & trade. After leaving the first cache we traveled a little further south away from our next stop but for good reason....ICE CREAM! We stopped into DQ, I got a Reeses blizzard(classic) & he got a vanilla cone.

We decided to hurry off to our next stop before it rained again.

Second stop was the second furthest colored mark on the map above. The blue frowny indicates a cache wasn't found at that location, I probably didnt look hard enough but I decided to leave & return later just in case this cache was on the other side of the fence as it appeared to be on the tracker. Yay for parenting win when you choose to project good morals instead of breaking the law for the heck of it in front of a child.

20180323_175139.jpg On the way to the second cache location we found a pair of ducks all happy the canal is starting to flow.

The first Violets I've seen this year.

Third & final stop was the furthest east mark on the map above. At this point we had also passed the NNU baseball game & found an old fly ball. The last cache was rather hard to find but we did find it after lots of searching & playing on a playground near by. This one also had paper but still no pen so must return, the cache also had a magnet(this hint was in the app so not spoiling) inside to hold it in place where it was hiding. We ended up taking the long way back to get some extra calories burned for me & extra energy burned for him.

Over all It was a blast! I will definitely do more, eventually I will be going to outer areas, outside of Ada or Canyon counties. I want to place some myself & when I do is when I will upgrade for a year so I can set out for the Grayed out caches & events, It also opens up trails I can use for further adventuring.

Till next time!
I will be caching near work in Boise, Mixing up my areas will keep me interested longer ^_~

Sounds like a lovely day!
Don't know much about Geocaching, We will have to try it sometime.

We have been out in the woods trying to locate a building site for your brother. I think we have had luck too!

That sounds awesome ^_^
