ADVERTISING
Advertising is a special type of communication. Its objective is to persuade the purchase of certain items and services, such as those offered by a bank. Companies pay to place ads on television, radios, newspapers and magazines, and thus reach many people. They also place signs on the street and send letters to their clients' homes. The posters and stained glass windows attract the attention of passers-by.
LOGOS
Companies try to make sure that the public does not confuse their products with those of another brand. For them they place symbols that are recognized immediately, called logos. A logo can be a simple image or you can combine images with words.
SELL IN THE CITY
The inhabitants of the big cities are surrounded by publicity. On the streets there are billboards and illuminated signs. The buses, trains and trams carry advertising on the sides. The stained-glass windows of businesses display brands to attract passers-by.
ADVERTISING AGENCIES
Almost all advertising is prepared in specialized agencies. There, short phrases and images are created to highlight a product or a brand. You also decide where to do the advertising. For example, publishing a food product in a kitchen magazine.
SPORTS ADVERTISING
Companies that want to achieve recognition usually sponsor, or financially support, sports teams or sporting events such as the Soccer World Cup and the Olympics. Their names appear on posters and in players' clothing.
