Not earning much on Steemit?

Time to feed the beast!

Everything was so new to me only three months ago, Steemit, Cryptocurrency, Mining, the list is becoming endless? This whole blockchain revolution is fast moving and expanding daily, and it's hard to keep up. I feel like this is the new gold rush, and we're all swimming for a piece of land, wondering which crypto island to venture to and stake our investment flag into its golden sand. Should I invest in that crypto currency, or that one, maybe look at the IMOs, or even software, hardware for mining, either way, investment has to be made very soon. This is the calm before the mainstream storm.

If you're reading this, then it's highly likely that you're a Steemit User and maybe you've hit the ground running, and things are going swimmingly here in the Steemy ocean, and the dream has become a reality, but for others it might not be so swimmingly easy. Maybe you've been doggy paddling all this time, just about keeping your head above water with a few cents here, and a few cents there, here there, everywhere, but somehow you feel undervalued with your rewards, albeit, upvoting, or monetary wise. If this is you, then remember that you just need to earn $3.66SBD to cover the year with your bottom line being $0.01cents. Bank that for the next seven years and that figure could do a bitcoin and turn a $5 investment into your retirement fund, potentially more.

So hypothetically, if you have your $3.66SBD to cover all the days in the year already earned, then everything else is a bonus, and now you super feed the machine, by buying SBD and increasing your Steem Power, readying for a Super Power Down in seven years time, if you chose to do so. If there is anyway possible to buy SBD through the exchanges, with any money you can, then I suggest doing so, as I read somewhere that there are 250 000 users on Steemit now, so just imagine what that figure will be in seven years time....250 Million, possibly? Think about how much a whole piece of bitty bitcoin costs today, and now think what did it cost seven years ago? Now is the time to change your lifestyle to accommodate an increase in your Crypto investment, so whether it's cutting back on snacks, or just just making sacrifices with your vices, so you have a few more fiat cents to invest into Steemit cents, as the variance between the two will grow ever greater in the future.

Rattle your piggy bank, change up those old holiday notes, and change them into Steem Dollars for your future. Time to feed the beast, if you're not being fed. I need to fill my piggy bank back up I'm afraid. :-( Time to Desteem.

I totally agree @tournego.

Thank you for posting @flatrider.

Well said.....really enjoyed reading this post.

It is true...Steem needs to be viewed with a long-term potential in mind. It would be short-sighted otherwise.

Ah, thanks @bleujay and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Absolutely, we all should be thankful we are participating in the Steemit race now, as there are others who will not join for a couple of years to come. Long term goals are the way ahead.

I agree with your ideas. In my opinion just being here, posting, replying and meeting people is a great investment. Some people would like to come and have hundreds or thousands right away but I believe steemit has given me much more. I was able to start playing with cryptos and getting to know what is the whole thing. I lost 50% of what I earn in 3 weeks, then I stopped playing in the markets. I started to invest in myself and trying to make better posts and content here. Doing so, has given me almost 3x of what I made before loosing. I guess we just need to learn as much as possible and that is the real investment, start to amass steem and SBD for the future and when you are ready start playing with cryptos. I believe by the time you get into that stage you will be earning at least few bucks per post instead of cents.

Thanks @raserrano and I concur with you completely. Think long term and focus on generating crypto currency through better posts on Steemit. Sorry to read about your previous losses, but very happy to read about your current success. Steem on!

Yeah learn from mistakes and keep on doing what you do :)

Thanks @raserrano!

I agree with this. Can't hope to get much if you aren't willing to invest much! Following you now! Please follow me if you like my works as well!

Thanks @peacefulpatriot, and consider yourself followed by Flatrider. :-D

You're most welcome and thank you for the follow!!!

Thanks PP and you're welcome! :-)

It's time to feed the beast! Great post flat!

I totally agree with the logic of thinking of how much your earnings on Steemit are going to worth in the future! That thought keeps me going during these cold .50 cent potential reward nights haha

Thank you so much @waphilip and it's true. Wait until the future to reap the rewards of your labour. Pennies make pounds and the cents make dollars, keep Steeming, this is your time.

Its hard work but so worth it Took me a year to get where I am not that its as much as some are making, I'm happy so that's all that matters :)

What you've put in over the year has paid off, keep Steeming. Stay happy! ;-)

Question: Have you guys Power down? I was trying t make that but it gave me an error.

No idea my friend, worth a google search I think?

Yeah I'll see what I can do.

;-)

A really honest post dude.
And you're right about the future of the Cryptocurrencies, including steem.
People should invest in themselves and the platform here and now. If the world embraces Steemit as we have imagine what it will be like when it carries a billion users! Nice one buddy

I know TP, this is our moment and when it goes mainstream, things might get a little bit messy. All it would take is a piece about Steemit on the mainstream news and that's it, boom!

I love the words you used in this article. I am doggy paddling but I am not ever going to give up. And I enjoy the posts and the people here. Do you think Steem will rise in the next few months? Why is it that Bitcoin is rising but the other crypto's are not? I thought that when Botcoin rises, so did the rest.

Thanks @whatisnew and there are a few of us doggy paddling, and we will transition into a breast stroke for the future. I am not an expert but it's all about availability. Bitcoin is being accepted as a form of currency, as most other crypto currencies aren't. Other crypto currencies are normally changed into Bitcoin to then be able to either purchase or buy a fiat currency. The day you can pop to the shop and buy something with your Steem Dollars, is the day you will see them all crypto currencies rise and fall with more synchronicity.

Breast stroke sure is better than doggy paddling! LOL! Thanks for the info! :)

Excellent post dear @flatrider! The opinion that can motivate the action!

Thanks so much! Indeed my dear, indeed. ;-D

SUper info. Thx

You're welcome @vincde.

Good thinking dear!
