I think Prime is worth it, but not Kindle Unlimited. I have used Kindle Unlimited in the past, and really didn't get value from it.
However, if there is a book you want to read, and it is on KU, then maybe that will offset the costs.

The Prime is tempting with the free 2-day shipping (especially when you find out you have to wait 2 weeks for your package to arrive!) So may have a closer look at that one.
With what you say about KU might wait a bit longer as £7.99 a month does seem a lot and might even be more than I'd actually spend on books!
