Are We A Few Years Too Early...?

in affiliatemarketing •  5 years ago

This will be my 'gratitude post' of the month :)

But it may seem like a frustrated content creator at times, please note...I'm VERY thankful that I'm right here, right now in history!

I touched on this on the previous update @ClickTrackProfit . There was a recent blog post that got shared around the blockchain and for very good reason. It became quite the hot topic because, it was featured on Entrepreneur.com (that's a pretty big deal in some circles...lol)

In a nutshell, the author was mentioning how important it was to look at different social media sites outside the 'standard fare' (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc)...And yup, Steemit.com was featured!

While I'm all for a good bit of positive Steem propaganda...What struck me was the 'Why you should consider using it...." part!

steem

Yeah...Smart marketers!

You know, the ones that always wanna claim they are cutting edge and ready to embrace new technology with LOADS of upside!

Truth is, I would hardly call myself 'smart' but I do see where this is the perfect mix between 'social media, new technology, and huge opportunity'...That's why I fell in love with Steem.

And why I have spent the past 20 months of my life, dedicated to this blockchain! With my hopes of bringing Steem to marketers via CTPtalk.com

Do you ever feel like...You are a bit too early to the game?

This author highlighted exactly how I feel about Steem. Potential! Marketers can share their content and grow their audience in the Steem eco-system. And what an opportunity that will be down the road...But right now, it's a grind. . Onboarding is still issue #1 and we will be a while before everyday marketers and community managers start recommending Steem to their customers. We are super early to the game.

And that's o.k. to be honest...Because the 'smart marketers' are building right now!

They see the potential and are creating a following of awesome people every day on Steem. But again, the issues of being 'so new' will pop up. Onboarding, the downvotes / upvotes, bid bots, and sadly, even the price of Steem...All these are factors that I'm sure will be addressed...Because this is what happens when you are trying to build and create something new!

I'm a firm believer in Steem.

And I'm a raving fan for online / affiliate marketing.

Every ounce of my being tells me that Steem has so much potential to become THE platform of choice for affiliate marketers in ANY niche. The problem is...We might just be a bit too early before we are adopted!

However if you see the potential...

The opportunity to build your brand and your name within this community now...I think that future is going to be....Absolutely remarkable!

Don't wait for the masses to jump on board...Get involved now!

Great post as always Jon, now here is my version:

We are not to early! "If you build it they will come". We are in the right place at the right time. Give this a few years and the masses will be saying: "You been on #steem for how long?" I feel like a parent or grand-parent at the early stages of development of a child. I am super excited to be here at this time.

I do see what you are saying Jon and I am sure lots of people feel the same way. I feel that way with Humankinds venture into Space. Think I was born to early, loving what Elon Musk is doing, but afraid I am not going to live, or be young enough, for a trip to space or Mars. I was born to early.

But lets take advantage of what we got, lets be pioneers and let history deal with the rest.

Bradley

Good metaphor to the young child. I have been blessed to have lived through the years when I thought the rest of my life would be endless sleep deprivation, messes everywhere, trips to the doctor, carpooling...but now I have 6 adult children, most living in their own homes and one raising my grandchildren. I wouldn't have that if I had given up when it was hard.

good points man. yeah i’m very grateful we are here now. this is our time to build that future.

Great feedback!!! And a little Hiccup I guess most of us can handle, if not drink some water or Vodka, and hold your breath for 12 sec :p

This was a TOP one, with an interesting headline...and that made me keep reading...I dont know if "we" are to earlie, but I know it will not atleast be to late! Well written..recommanded!

better to be early than late is what i am thinking

absolutely

I couldn’t agree more with this. Whilst their are people questioning if they are to early on Steem and some even leaving thinking it is a dead project.
The ones sticking around , building apps , communities and brands are the ones who will benefit when and if Steem takes off.
There’s an old saying. “ if you hang around the barber’s shop long enough you will end up with a haircut.”
Those working hard with little to no benefit now are slowly gaining followers and gaining attention . When the masses do finally come there will do many people posting it will be hard to get noticed. And then people will be complaining that they got here too late .

And if you think you would be better off somewhere else. Maybe check how EOS is going ( the so called killer of Steem) .
I checked the price the other day on coinspot. It is heading in one direction and that is down, it was AUD$20 and it is now almost down to AUD$4 . So much for the Voice.

We are right where we need to be I believe.

That’s my thoughts on the matter anyways.

Thanks for sharing @jongolson,
Have an awesome day.

I see the potential and am so ready. I heard about Steem about a year and half ago and never did anything with it. When I found out that Steem was a part of CTP I got more excited about being a part of the new CTP and all it had to offer me. I've always been a part of CTP but didn't take it so seriously, but now CTP is not only my past and present, but I see it as my future. And as for being a bit early here at Steem, I think it's awesome! To be ahead of the masses is where we need to be and should be. I believe that Steem and CTP will bring me the world I've been seeking so long as an internet/affiliate marketer!

appreciate that very much. thanks for the comments and the vote of confidence in what we are trying to build with ctp and steem :)

You can't be too early, it just means that there is a bit more heavy lifting to get things rolling before it takes off, so just keep building and stay awesome.

agreed. and God knows. i need the heavy lifting work out lol

Thank you, Jon! I'm happy to have found Steem via CTP. It means a lot to me. I've always been a believer of the CTP program. It truly has great potentials. I hope many more people will find it valuable. ^_^

Thanks so much. And it's awesome to watch you crush it here on Steem and CTPtalk!!!

Thank you! I'll need to do more updates via CTPtalk too. ^_^

Being TOO EARLY is something very debatable... It's a good thing to be first in something, but it takes a lot more work to push it through the hard times BEFORE the adoption... We just have to be stubborn and persistent in the next few months/years... and it will come...

Now I know these things, and if I knew that back in time...

Stay away from the Way Back Machine man!!!!! lol

Thank you so much for participating in the Partiko Delegation Plan Round 1! We really appreciate your support! As part of the delegation benefits, we just gave you a 3.00% upvote! Together, let’s change the world!
