Hi Everyone,
Welcome to another week of Captains Candidates.
Sorry for this one going up late, that long Anzac Round has messed up our normal routine.
So a quick one today where I will pick the top 4 standouts for the all important Captaincy this weekend.
Tom Mitchell (Hawthorn) vs St Kilda
Mitchell is back to mere mortal status after successive weeks of heavy tags bringing his score into the 80's.
While he remains a great choice for captaincy this week, he is not the certainty selection that he was in the earlier rounds.
Saints are not heavy taggers although expect to see Jack Steele do a run with role.
Whether or not that is a hard tag remains to be seen but either way I will back Mitchell in to get back to massive numbers this week.
Expect a 40 plus possession game and he is my number one choice for the C this week.
Jack Macrae (Western) vs Carlton
A Friday night match under the lights at Etihad Stadium against the lowly Blues should be the perfect environment for a huge Macrae ball winning bonanza.
Macrae currently sits comfortably in the Top 10 for total Fantasy points scored so far this year and has an average of 117.
Macrae likes playing the Blues to, he scored 123 against them in Round 17 last year.
Expect an even bigger score this time
S Coniglio (GWS) vs Brisbane
The highest point scorer in AFL Fantasy so far this season meets the lowly Lions at Spotless Stadium this weekend.
Fresh off a 112 last week, I expect a lot, lot more against a loose checking Brisbane midfield.
With his 122 per week average, Coniglio makes a compelling case for the C this week.
M Gawn (Melbourne) vs Essendon
It's not often a ruck makes for a good captaincy choice but Gawn just has to be included this week.
Fresh off a 143 last round, Gawn is now the 3rd highest scorer in Fantasy this year.
This week Gawn comes up against an Essendon side which has chosen to rest Bellchambers.
Leunberger has been selected by the Bombers as the replacement so expect Gawn to dine out in this one.
If poor old Leunberger's career is not over already, it might be after this massacre.
Best of Luck with your Captain choice and your league match up this weekend on the quick back up from last round.
I will post Teams and injury update over the next couple of hours so this Steemit page will have everything you need leading you up to the first bounce tonight and Round 6 Lockout.
Be sure to check back shortly for the update.
Also don't forget to lodge your predictions on @footytips page prior to Friday night game to win more SBD!
Thanks for Reading :)
Cheers from @aflfantasy owners @dahmsy79 & @o07
As an Essendon supporter, let me say that Bellchambers shouldn't need resting. He did nothing against Grundy on ANZAC Day

much less resting him the week you up against Maxy Gawn.

Big Leuy has been going OK in the VFL, and I won't be shocked if McKernan is named to in the final 22 to offer some support as well. Disappointed, as his body of work says he's not AFL standard, but not surprised
