Hi Guys,

We’re now heading into Round 18 and nearing Dream Team finals.

Lets take a look at all the Fantasy relevant injuries that could affect our match ups this weekend.

Adelaide:

The injury crisis at the Crows may be easing but an ill timed suspension to Skipper Tex Walker will make their job against the inform Lions tougher especially since Key Defender Talia is expected to miss again.

That is leadership lost at both ends of the Ground.

Mackay will miss a couple more with that Rib injury and veteran Douglas is also out with an Ankle strain.

On a positive note, Mitch Mcgovern is listed as test and could be rushed back if fit.

Running Defender Brodie Smith has recovered from his ACL and will play his first SANFL game of the year this weekend.

Brisbane:

Not too many dramas at Lions apart from the long term injury to Charlie Cameron.

We are all still waiting to head if Harris Andrews will play again this season after that nasty concussion from the Jeremy Cameron hit.

He is seeing a neurologist this week for an update.

Hodge should be back to lead the Defence after being a late withdrawal last week.

Carlton:

The Blues lack of depth is being exposed brutally of late and they have a long injury list.

Of note is Kreuzer who had that elevated heart rate last week and will need clearance from a specialist to play.

Geelong recruit Darcy Lang is listed as a test and could be back this week as is Small Forward Wright.

Collingwood:

The Pies despite winning a lot of games have also been hit hard by injuries.

The late withdrawal of Star Key Forward Mason Cox was a blow last week and Pies fans will be hoping he passes a Fitness Test to play this week.

I had to shake my head when yet again I see Darcy Moore’s name on this list.

He is listed as TBC for a finger injury.

With Reid out for 2-3 more weeks and Dunn out for the season, Moore simply just needs to find a way to get on the park.

Tom Langdon is also listed as a test which would be a further blow for the Defence if he misses.

Treloar is still atleast 6 weeks away.

Essendon:

Will Fantasia play this week is the question?

One thing you can be sure of is that Essendon will name him but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to mean much at Essendon given he has been a late withdrawal the last two weeks.

Saad is listed a test for a hamstring and would be a blow to the Bombers if he misses.

Stringer is still 2-3 weeks away with that calf injury.

In great news for Bombers fans, Zaharakis is listed as a test for this week and should return.

Fremantle:

Great win by the Dockers last week at home especially without their star man Fyfe and big man Sandilands.

Unfortunately for the Dockers Fyfe is still listed as at least 3 weeks away but they could regain Sandilands this week if he passes a Fitness Test.

Number 2 Draft Pick Brayshaw is also expected to miss 1 more week with a Groin injury as will Ballantyne with an Ankle issue.

Taberner is creeping closer to a return and is only a couple of weeks away now.

Geelong:

No fresh concerns at the Cats and they could regain two very important Defenders this week.

Harry Taylor is listed a test and Lachie Henderson has played 2 games back in the VFL so is now ready.

Gold Coast:

Long Injury list at the struggling Gold Coast but they could regain their star Irishman Hanley after he got 30 possessions in his return game to the NEAFL last weekend.

Skipper May is listed a Test as is star number 4 Draft Pick Ainsworth.

GWS Giants:

The injury list is shortening but they are still without Star Key Forward Jeremy Cameron for 3 more weeks due to suspension.

De Boer and youngster Perryman are listed as 2-3 weeks away with injury.

Deledio should return after getting over 30 possessions in his NEAFL return last weekend.

In further good news creative Half Back Zac Williams has commenced full training after missing all season with an Achilles injury.

He could return to NEAFL action over the next fortnight.

Hawthorn:

The big news at the Hawks is the broken wrist to Star Defender Sicily which will likely rule him out for the rest of the season unless the Hawks can make the Finals.

Birchall is listed as only 1 week away from a long awaited return while Burgoyne will miss 1 more with a hamstring injury.

McEvoy will also be in a race against time to make it back this season as he is listed a 5 weeks away courtesy of a broken cheekbone

Melbourne:

No new injuries at the Demons although they are still reeling over the re occurrence of that Toe injury to Viney which will keep him out for at least 4 weeks.

Youngster Joel Smith is listed as test and may come back this week although will likely be via the VFL.

North Melbourne:

Injuries are starting to mount at the Kangaroos and testing their depth.

Important Forward Waite is still 3-4 weeks away with that calf injury and despite his good form earlier in the season the end is nigh.

Mason Wood is nearing closer and listed as 1-2 weeks off.

Wingman Hartung will still miss 3-4 more weeks with that serious hamstring injury.

In better news, tagger Jacobs is listed as a test and is a chance to return this week.

Port Adelaide:

Port have had a pretty good run with injuries overall this season but they currently have issue with important players.

On the back of Key Defender Jonas injuring his knee last week, they now have Ryder and Gray under a cloud.

Gray is miraculously listed as a chance to play after that shocking concussion but surely Power edge on the side of caution with their star man.

Ryder will definitely miss atleast one week with a Hip Flexor issue.

Richmond:

Not too many issues at the Tigers but they are missing Butler in the Forward line and he is still atleast 2-3 weeks away with an Ankle complaint.

Broad (cheekbone) and Graham (shoulder) will also miss 2-3 more weeks.

Conca was lucky to escape more serious injury but will still miss atleast 5 more after dislocating his ankle.

St Kilda:

Important Defender Webster is unlikely to play this week as he battles a Groin complaint.

Back up Key Defender and popular cash cow option Logan Austin will also miss 1 more with a groin injury.

Key Forward Paddy McCartin is still 1-2 weeks away with a Foot issue but in better news young Forward Battle will return this week.

The Saints will also regain star Midfielder and future Captain Seb Ross who is fit again after a nasty bout of Gastro.

Sydney:

The Swans have some injury issue to key players at the wrong time of the year.

Important Defender J Mcveigh has done a shoulder and is still 3-4 weeks away.

Jack and J Kennedy are in serious doubt with knee and back issues.

Hannebery is still 2-3 weeks away with a Calf complaint.

Is age catching up with the Swans?

West Coast:

Truly shocking news at the Eagles with Nit Nat once again doing an ACL which has the potential to derail the Eagles season.

Apart from that the Eagles look great on the injury front now with no other senior players affected.

However the Eagles win/loss record without Natanui does not make for pretty reading and it will be interesting to see how they go from here.

Western Bulldogs:

The Dogs season has been derailed by injuries and is not getting any shorter as we near the end.

The Bont will still miss a couple more after Appendix surgery.

Picken is now officially ruled out for the season with concussion issues.

Suckling and Bailey Williams will miss 3-4 more weeks through injury.

Crozier and Lin Jong will miss a couple more.
In more positive news Tom Boyd and Crozier are listed as tests for this week.

I hope the injury gods have been good to your side and best of luck in your match ups this weekend.

Thanks for reading :)
