Hi Everyone,
Teams are out for another week and a couple of surprises although less brutal than last weeks.
Hawthorn v Sydney
The Hawks regain a couple of late withdrawals from last week in Henderson and Langford.
Out goes Worpel and Cousins who have been omitted.
For the Swans, still no Buddy or Hanneberry.
Patty McCartin's brother Tom McCartin who was pick 33 in last years draft for the Swans gets his debut this week.
He is an athletic Forward who is smaller than his brother but also a goalkicker and a cash cow to keep an eye on.
Daniel Robinson has also been brought back into the side and being a small, he will be useful in the expected wet conditions.
Fox and Marsh have been omitted.
GWS Giants v West Coast Eagles
Cameron and Lobb are back from injury for the Giants in a boost to their Forward line but still no Josh Kelly.
Young Half Back Cumming will play his first game for the club.
The Giants have run out of patience with Patton and he has surprisingly been dropped.
Carlton reject Buckley has also been dropped. Giants recruited him trying to do a De Boer miracle turnaround of career for him but I don't think lightning is going to strike twice. I will be surprised if Buckley is seen at senior level again.
Disappointing cash cow Shipley has also been dropped after just not performing at the level.
It was a shame as he generated some excitement in the NAB cup but he is clearly not up to the level as yet.
Bad news for the Eagles this week with Nit Nat been suspended for a week on top of the hamstring injury to Shuey.
They both go out of the side along with speedster Petruccelle.
In comes big man MccInes who will help Lycett in the Ruck.
Former Port player Ah Chee will playing his first game for the Eagles.
Also a debut for Brayden Ainsworth who is the brother of Gold Coast Ainsworth and was taken at pick 32 for the Eagles in last years Draft.
Carlton v Essendon
Two teams that desperately need a win meet here and what will be interesting match to say the least.
Still no Marc Murphy for the Blues but they do regain budding superstar Charlie Curnow.
Darcy Lang will play his first game for the Blues after crossing over from Geelong.
Jed Lamb who seems to yo-yo between the senior and VFL team returns.
Out goes big Casboult with that injured rib and lung.
Ex GWS players Phillips and Kennedy have been omitted.
For the Bombers they lose Daniher with that much publicised groin injury.
Former number 1 draft pick Mcgrath is also out with injury.
In comes exciting Forward Orazio Fantasia and Shaun Mckernan will get another chance.
Gold Coast Suns v Melbourne Demons
The Suns regain one of their Captains in important Defender May.
Still no Tom Lynch who is expected to miss a couple more.
Aaron Hall is also back from his NEAFL exile and tall Defender Leslie will get another chance.
Out goes Max Spencer who has been omitted while handy back pocket Joyce and Rosa are both out with injury
The Demons have resisted the temptation to name Viney and he will return this week via their VFL team.
Salem returns from that thumb injury and will take Jayden Hunts half back spot as he has been dropped again.
Port Adelaide v Adelaide Crows
The South Australian Derby see's Port regain some big name players in Wingard, Rockliffe and young gun Powell-Pepper.
Defender Clurey is also back as well.
Out goes Dom Barry, Amon & Pittard who have been omitted.
Young Forward Aidyn Johnson who has been ultra impressive will miss with injury.
For the Crows, the big news here is still no Rory Sloane who unfortunately re injured his sore foot at training.
The Crows do regain skipper Tex Walker to boost the Forward line.
Youngster Poholke is also back in the side.
Exciting half back flanker Milera will miss the derby with a hamstring injury and Darcy Fogarty has been dropped.
Fremantle v St Kilda
A blow for the Dockers with classy half back flanker Wilson out injured.
He has been one of the Dockers best players since crossing over from GWS in trade week last year.
Ethan Hughes as been omitted and has to be running out of chances at the level/
In comes veteran Defender Michael Johnson and a return for Pearce after a long WAFL exile.
Freo will dearly need his run against the Saints given no Hill or Walters.
This one is a winnable game for the Saints but they unfortunately lose big Full Forward Patty McCartin to that concussion injury that they are trying to call whiplash.
Rising Star Ben Long is also out injured.
In comes the classy Blake Acres and a first gamer in Ed Phillips who was a late selection in the 2016 Draft.
Western Bulldogs v Brisbane Lions
The Bont was a surprising late withdrawal courtesy of a hip injury last week in a blow for Fantasy coaches, but he returns to the team after passing a fitness test at training. Running Defender Lukas Webb also returns to the side.
English has showed so much promise this year and looks to have a big future but his form has dropped of the last couple of weeks so he will have a spell. Ling Jong has also been omitted.
The Lions get back strong running Defender Nick Robertson from suspension.
Allison has been omitted.
North Melbourne v Richmond
Into the Sunday games now so extended bench for the Kangas.
One player that will definitely be in the starting 18 is Forward Jarrod Waite.
Davis-Uniake, Hrovat, Majak Daw and Ahern have named on the extended interchange.
Ahern is an interesting one who was originally a high first round draft pick by the Giants but suffered two knee reco's.
Ahern was trade to North for a bargain basement draft pick but has shown some ability in the VFL of late.
Will be a cash cow to keep an eye on if he is named and he is at the bottom price of $170k.
Ed Vickers-Willis is the only confirmed out so far.
For the Tigers, Skipper Cotchin is back from injury and will replace Prestia in the Midfield.
Prestia will miss with that Calf injury.
The Tigers are once again teasing Miles with AFL selection by naming him on the extended interchange.
We all know poor old Miles won't get picked in the final 22 so will resume dominating in the VFL.
Surely he will be looking for a new club at the end of the season.
Brandon Ellis is also a chance to return this week and is also listed on the extended interchange along with Garthwaite and Soldo.
Collingwood v Geelong
The last game of the Round could be a beauty between these two big clubs at the G.
The Pies may have the class of Wells finally back but they will keep their fans in suspense as he is named on the extended interchange.
Fasolo could also be back for the Pies along with Daicos and Brown who are all on the extended bench for now.
No outs as yet.
For the Cats, he's back.
G Ablett will return and is named in the starting 18.
Surprisingly, so is Harry Taylor who has been rushed back to the seniors to add some much needed height and experience to that backline.
Zac Smith will also definitely be back for the Cats and is named as Ruck in starting 18.
Wiley Buzza, Horlin-Smith and Parsons are named on the extended interchange.
Out of the side is young Fogarty who has been brilliant in his first season.
He is being rested while Tommy Hawkins is out with that one week suspension for touching an umpire.
I hope the ins and outs have been good to your Fantasy teams and best of luck in your league matches this weekend.
Thanks for Reading :)
Cheers from @aflfantasy owners @dahmsy79 & @o07
Soft at selection by the Bombers. Shaun McKernan's career resume suggests he's just not up to AFL standard long term (he may have the occasional above average game, but that's it). Would have been better to recall Hartley and send Hooker forward again, or perish the thought, actually play some of the young players on the list.
