Early one morning we were woken by the sound of a screeching baboon, a barking baboon and thud thud thud on our roof.

We went outside to investigate.

We found a "teenage" Baboon chasing this little baboon which was running for it's life!

The bigger teenager was barking as it chased this little one which was screeching in fear.

On the roof, into the tree, back on the roof, onto the ground, up another tree, back onto the roof, back into the tree and so on in quick speed. The little one would jump into the top thin branches of the tree with the bigger one in hot pursuit.

The smaller branches that could hold the weight of the smaller one broke with the weight of the bigger one and slowly the tree was being thinned out.

This commotion continued for at least five minutes until the bigger one stopped chasing and just sat in the now much broken tree and steered at me. It was at this point that I could get this photo. There were moments when I thought that he was going to jump onto the veranda where we were standing.

The little one ran off.
