I was there several times . The first one, when the genocide in Darfur area still was going on .
In 2008 I was working for UN . We've been carrying soldiers , local people, cargo , food staff in Darfur. So many ruined buildings, burned villages had to see we there from the air. Pain, suffering of ordinary citizens , who become a hostage of
political situation .
Janjaweeds - government mercenaries. They are armed to the teeth , using camels and SUV were riding from the village to village , exterminated civilians .The reason was " their wrong origin" . It sounds so awfully . Who can judge?
Living in the desert , these tribes were geographically isolated from the rest of Islamic Sudan. Such aborigines always peacefully farm , graze cattle and hunt . Now they became a victims of bloody politics games ... The aim was horrible : wipe out the ethnic population from the Earth planet, first of all because of religion reasons .
I remember one boy . His name was Farhad . An orphan . His village was burnt , everybody were slain . Twelve years old this lucky guy miraculously, after 3 days wandering in desert without food and water , eventually got the nearest town - Nyala . Now standing in front of me , he was smiling , remembering that awful situation . Of course in his eighteen , now he has wife and child and all trouble is in the past , still he misses his parents very much .
Concerning children- despite on poverty and distressful situation , they are happy and welcoming . So I hope for the best in my heart . I believe Sudan has future. And these small boys and girls , when grow up will take situation under control . Remembering all , they will arrange better life for future generation . I am sure , they will build new Sudan , new society of civilized and friendly people .![sudan.jpg]()
Nice story. I feel sorry about that poor children. What a destiny do they have😣😣😣
