Zuma has left the building. Been so busy that I havent had a moment to post. But Zuma has left the building and thats something.

So, the last couple of months have seen South Africa’s politics and economics jump up and down. The people have been asking for Zuma to step down for years now and he just managed to cling on to the presidency regardless of hit poor judgement and corruption, not to mention the Guptas. So relief finally came last night when Zuma announced that he will be resigning as the president of South Africa. This came after months of internal ANC discussions and finally they decided to give him a little push. Had he not resigned he would have faced a vote of no confidence today that would surely have passed, so I think he decided to keep intact what is left of his reputation.
The South African Rand value is at R11.67 today against the USD down from a R11.86 yesterday, so surely the change in leadership has already been welcomed by the world.
We can only hope now that the new president will have his head screwed on the right way and move South Africa forward as the striving nation that we could be.
2018 will surely go into the record books for this and South Africans around the world are is good spirits today. Well done ANC, it took you long enough, but hell.
