YOUR YOUTH AND YOUR DESTINY

The last time I promise to continue the post and today is the day the Lord has appointed for that purpose. To get the first series you can click on this link below :-

The greatest gift you can receive from God as a youth is the gift of understanding. Understanding is very crucial if you going to make the most of the days of your youth. Lack of it will make you an easy prey for the devil (prov 9:16-18) the Bible says, ".....with all your getting, get understanding ". (prov 4:7,1chronicles 12:32) describe certain people as men that had the understanding of times to know what Israel ought to do. The gift of understanding enable those men, at a time when most people in Israel were undecided as to what to do, to know what Israel ought to do. It enables them to focus their energy and attention on what really mattered at the moment.

There is a great difference between what you ought to do and what you want to do? A good number of young folks are doing what they want to do with their life, time, talents, energy, potential etc. They are misdirecting their youthful energy, zeal and enthusiasm for lack of understanding.

What a tragedy to spend the days of your youth doing what we want to do to the exclusion of what we ought to do. Proverbs 7 contain the profile of Africa young man void of understanding and many young people answer to that description. King Solomon said : "for at the window of my house I looked through my casement, and beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths,a young man void of understanding, passing through the street near her corner :and he went the way to her house..... And,behold there met him a woman with the attire of an harlort, and subtill of heart."

The action of this young man man portrayed the fact that he lacks understanding he was in the company of the frivolous : he passed by the house of an adulterous woman and thereby laid himself open to temptation. His lack of understanding informed his journey to the slaughter -house of the unwary and made him as easy prey for the enemy of his soul.

Understanding will help you to know what to flee and what to run after, what to avoid and what to embrace, what to accept and what refuse, what to say NO to and what to YES to. You can't be a young man with understanding and be frequenting scenes of epicurean excesses pool parties, beach parties, boxer and bikini's parties. You can't be a man of understanding and spending a disproportionate amount of your time with wrong companies and cooing. A young man of understanding sees the devil offer through the eyes of God and not through the eyes of men. I write to you the mind of God to you all. Remain bless.
