PROSTITUTION, NOT AN OPTION!

The rate to which most girls and ladies have resorted to prostitution,or sex hawking as a means of livelihood and survival is worth nothing to write home about. In major town and cities, prostitution has become the other of the day.

I can still remember vividly when I was younger, prostitutes or sex hawkers are mostly seen in hotels or brothels. Then their customers visit and patronised them. Those that involve in this illicit behavior,are mostly adults.

Sad it is to know that these days, younger ones ranging from 17years and above, toe this line of unholy behavior and suffice it is to know that these ones are under the auspices of their parents or guardians, yet leaving home to God knows where and the so called parents or guardians, not giving a care of their whereabouts. To worsen the situation, men old enough to be their grandfathers patronizes them.

Prostitution is not an option, there are better things these ones can use their life for. So many things are involved in prostitution, ranging from unprotected sex,drug and alcoholic abuses, smoking etc. I saw two prostitute fighting violently over a man, whom they claimed belongs to either of them. They fought to the extent of becoming naked without any shame of face. They were later arrested by police patrol team. These ones are addicted to drugs that many through use has lost their sense of reasoning.

Some have been kidnapped and their body parts used for money rituals, while some others has been raped marathonly unprotected, thereby contacting different types of deadly diseases such as HIV AIDS and their likes. Most of these prostitutes, are not doing it only for money, but just for the singular reason that their peers are doing it, or for the fun of it.

PARENTS ROLE
Parents should take time out to know the company their children are keeping, because the type and kind of company you keep determines who you become, even the Holy Scripture did not keep us in the dark but told us in Corinthians 15:33 that bad association spoils useful habit,so these young ones are leaders of tomorrow.

Nothing good comes out of prostitution but feeling of guilt and wounded hearts. This young ladies are leaders of tomorrow. Please say NO to prostitution and engage yourself in meaningful ventures like schooling, learning of skills etc. Remember that the body is the temple of the most high and he deserves our maximum respect.

Let us as parents continue to chasetize our children most especially the females. A woman is meant to be respected and not to be abused sexually, let's continue to educate them not to fall prey to these predators who believe that with their money, girls are meant to be devoured. Lets sanitize our society and frown at this Ungodly conducts.
