Many scientists and doctors have begun to think about the natural aging process.
An expert has recently published an article in Scientist, seeing aging as a disease we can cure.
Dr. Mutaz Musa is a physician at Albert Einstein College in New York. He says aging should look like an abnormal physical condition, which can be treated.
In the same way, as we see and treat cholesterol, heart problems, and the like, we must also treat the damage caused by aging.
Musa is not alone in thinking that aging is a disease that needs to be treated.
In his article, he quotes Aubrey de Gray, a computer scientist and biologist, who has been campaigning for aging to be treated as a pathological disease.
A recently established firm, Unity Biotechnology, captured the world's titles after securing millions of funds in search of aging-related illnesses. In particular, this firm is looking for ways to prevent the aging and slowing down of our cells.
Some new studies say that special proteins play a major role in cell aging, while some include the creation of compounds that compensate for the loss of natural energy caused by aging. If this research and innovation continues, a long and healthy life can be achieved in the future.
