Hornets don't murder people
Things I learned today:
Some portion of the adult population doesn't seem to understand that a fairly large chunk of our supply of fruit depends on the continued existence of.. bees.
A giant hornet, while isolated and pictured on it's own might look like a bee, but it certainly isn't one.
Most of these orchards are pollinated by domestic bees, but Asian Giant Hornets are as perfectly happy to wipe out domestic apiary as they are a wild beehive.
"Asian Giant Hornets" are not going to "kill us all" ... unless you have anaphylactic issues, it's not people they kill... it's bees, and across North America, bee populations are already under pressure.
The very recent introduction of the Asian Giant Hornet is thus far limited to the Washington/Vancouver area, and there is reasonable hope that the relevant experts and biologists can halt or limit their spread.
I Can't believe the number of people I see dipping into "conspiracy" territory over hornets.
Is absolutely everything a conspiracy now?
