Wow! It's been a wild ride.
I have 873 STEEM POWER. Last week, Steem Block Explorer said my 100% upvote was worth $0.0056 . Today the reported value of my upvote is worth just $0.0043.
To be truthful, I usually just ignore the reported value of my upvote. My goal is to accumulate STEEM POWER. My upvote appears to be worth about 0.025 SP.
It was fun when the reported value of my upvote was $0.0056 as the main interface would round up my vote to $0.01 making it appear that my upvote was actually worth something.
BTW: My SteemIt goal was to have enough SP for my upvote to be worth $0.02. It looks like one would need 4000 SP to achieve this state.
Let's see. I joined SteemIt in April 2018. It looks like I have another decade (or two) to achieve my goal.
What will the price of STEEM be twenty years from now?
Were the price of STEEM to miraculously jump above $1.00, I would be at my goal. If STEEM continues to drop, I would be looking at 40 years to achieve the goal. I fear that the little boy in the picture will have grown to middle age before reaching my goal.
