Aid Venezuela | Bringing food aid to the streets! Llevando una ayuda alimenticia a las calles

in aidvenezuela •  6 years ago

This week continued the blessings for the Venezuelan people, we had several failures both electrical and Internet connection caused to failures in the main Internet provider in the country, however, we could do a very good job and bring a little help to the streets of Venezuela.

During the food delivery, we talked a little with these children and observed that they were completely dirty, when we asked them why, they explained to us how a group of policemen put them in a van and took them to another city at midnight. Leaving them more than 50km away from where they usually live (in the streets). The boys did not desist from returning to the capital city and walked all night to return to it.

If there is one thing we dislike it is seeing and knowing about the abuse of authority. These children are part of a larger group of people who usually sleep on the streets of the capital. While living on the streets brings with it bad habits or can lead to delinquency, these young people have not yet fallen into it despite everything that happens around them.

We would like to be able to rescue them in some other way but they are situations that get out of our hands.

The best thing we can do for them is to talk to them, advise them and always tell them that everything is going to change, that there is still hope in Venezuela.

We also find people who often frequent the streets asking for some kind of help, in this case older people. They also deserve a little help and we gave him a few arepas so that they could get some help.

Finally, we were able to observe a man of approximately 30 years of age together with his two daughters rummaging through the garbage. They had found a bag full of fish bones outside a restaurant and said very happily "with this we can make soup, they are good".

Many people spend their afternoons checking garbage cans to see if they can still find something to eat. In the eastern part of the capital, specifically in Altamira, there is a diversity of high class restaurants that daily discard a large amount of food left by customers. People from different favelas come to this place at the end of the afternoon and check the garbage to take what little they can find and that although it is unhygienic, for them it is the only complement to their daily intake of food. Remembering that while the monthly salary is approximately $7, the basic food basket is over $300.

For this reason we approached this man and gave him one kilogram of Flour and 1 kilogram of Mortadella. We hope you were able to help him and his two little girls.

Number of arepas performed: 30.
Beneficiaries: 25. (2 arepas for last 5 kids).

Very commendable work you're doing, especially at a time when even professionals are struggling for survival.
I see every day people eating from the garbage, children being used and abused and men and women in uniform disgrace their image and that of the whole country.
All this without being able to do much, except write about it whenever I can.
Stay safe and thanks for such a herculean task you're performing

Hi Hiezama
I just read an article about the Crypto-Peso?

The Crypto Peso (PSO), a token on the EOS public mainnet is meant to be a tool that can surpass the value of the Bolivar, and become a more effective unit of exchange and store of value for Venezuelans.
The Crypto Peso (PSO) seeks to offer full accesability for people to join, with a potential size and engegament of a whole country's market and beyond. To achieve mass adoption and therefore full potentital of its market value, the token ensures low or no transaction fees. The minimal barrier to enter in this economy has been the goal since its recent Aidrop. There is no cost for transacctions using the Crypto Peso, and to send and recieve money is as easy as sending an SMS.( A text message!)

It was just listed on Steem Engine!
