Public Health Forum is an opportunity for anyone interested to bring solutions to common healthcare problems of general concern especially now that AIR-CLINIC could possibly extend its tentacles offline. Your opinion matters to us all!

Last week, we discussed about : Should Student Doctors Be Allowed To Treat Patients?!

**It made quite an interesting discuss as people shared a lot even mixed with personal experiences. We appreciate the input of the following persons who dropped their meaningful opinion and well thought contributions, some of which spoke from their personal experiences.

They include @emekasegun, @ashley4u, @drqamranbashir, gabriel90sson, @nwagod4, @nachomolina, @rosnalyguerra, @elvigia.

On the Topic of this Week...

The world keeps evolving in very facet and so does technology. Today, we see on the news the usefulness of some AI in accomplishing some feat but then the fear of what it's disadvantages can do to the human race creeps up in the minds of many.

Just few months, we saw how a robot was used to treat a dental patient in China by implanting some artificial teeth and it was said to be so successful. See the full story here

So what do you think, is it a welcomed development or it could poise some dangers in the nearest future.

Let's get to hear from you all your opinion about this. Every comment gets a good Upvote.

Hi guys, i really appreciate the @air-clinic team for a topic such as this.
going straight to the point, i will not give a yes neither will i give a no for an answer. reason being that humans are not all round knowledgeable and equipped with the do's and don's of life, same things goes for the medical world, although machines adhere to commands entered into it by human, these machines due its programmable functions tends to give some reasonable amount of vital and accurate information as compared to the calculations of man.
So, to buttress my point conclusively, I posit that artificial intelligence be used in treating patients but to some extent, this is where the human factor comes in, A.I needs human guidance.
Thank you! #myopinion

That's a very nice contribution to the topic. Thank you!

you are welcome @air-clinic

I really don't think there's an issue with AI in medicine from an ethical perspective. As a matter of fact, there are already breakthroughs in precision surgeries thanks to robotics. I think I should do more research and write an article about this.

Great! We will be looking out for your article. Thanks for contributing!

Lol,its a controversial topic. I dont think it has an demerit IMO.

I once considered venturing into robotic surgery. I think when the medical sphere gradually adopts AI, medicine would move to a higher height.

... though, we ruminate more on the benefit but we cannot totally look away from the side effects of all these modern artificial intelligence
Kudos to @air-clinic on your efforts

Robots handling lives, abeg, who will be held reponsible if there is grave error??

It is all a matter this and around it have been woven so many threads that it is difficult to predict what will happen. It is a fact that these experiments will continue, despite what we think.
However I think that human warmth and empathy can never be achieved by artificial intelligence, with the multiple edges that human-human contact includes. Aspects that only with "intelligence" are far from reaching.

Health technology describes the various kind of tools offered to diagnose, treat, or deal with health issues. This includes equipment, surgical/medical procedures, electronic records, and smooth checkup allied software. at the same time as it’s confirmed that loads of technological advancements take part in been life-saving, numerous of them boast risks for the patients. Negative effects such as enlarged cost, hurt of duty of selected personnel who works in set of the technology introduced. It's calls for structured debate on its positives and negatives
Love this guys @airclinic
