Aircoins is considered the "Pokemon Go for crypto" - it's an app that allows you to hunt crypto coins in augmented reality - anywhere anytime. All over the world!
When I first installed it back in April, I tried it out in my neighborhood in Thailand, where I stayed at the time.
Here's a short clip of my very first attempt - not only with this app, but with AR ever. You can tell it took me a while to figure out I had to tap the coins to claim them. ;)
Back then I thought, hey, this is really fun, but not for me. I'll tell all my friends who have teenage kids, but to me it looks like it just gives me a bunch of no-name coins that I can't do anything with.
Basically, the one thing that was wrong with it (for me), was that I couldn't hunt any Dash with it... ;)
But a couple of weeks ago, Aircoins got fixed! ;)
Dash is now available in the app, wooohooo!!! Sadly, I still haven't found any yet, here in my neighborhood!
Having partnerships with solid cryptocurrencies opens up a whole bunch of possibilities, beyond just airdropping pocket money to your kids in a fun way (you might actually be able to do that in the future).
It could be an engaging incentive at conferences or in shopping malls - the possibilities in terms of the "sharing economy" are endless!
This also turns the Aircoins app into an actual wallet, since you can spend the Dash (and in the future maybe other currencies) straight from the app.
Watch the traffic and where you're going while using the app :)
Also get clarity on the privacy terms before you use the app. It's still new, so things are constantly being improved, but right now it might not be as private yet as you would wish.

i tried it, but it felt strange to me walking through the cities with my phone chest high. Felt like s smartphone zombie or a policeman surveilling people.

Yes it does feel weird! :D Apparently the hid 10 x 1 full Dash in some cities, if I didn't misunderstand. There must be one in Berlin!!! ;)

That would be very cool if Dash partnered with local businesses, airdropped coins to find, then go spend at local business.
