Tuesday Tutorial: Drawing basic #1 the human body

Today is my first tutorial post about drawing! I believe that Steemit (the first, amazing, incredible social network that allows you to pay and get paid by upvotes) should be made of good quality content that gives you something in therms of emotions, increase your knowledge or gives you a value!

So, if posting illustrations, sketches, works and more it's a sharing of our emotions and  it's really important, post some tutorial, can give YOU something to learn and do on your own. And everything you can learn, it's a big value! Imagine that everytime you learn something from my tutorials, gives even to ME a big value!

That's why I wanna create #airdrawingjourney. That's a "place" where you can post your drawing to show me and the other users your progress lesson by lesson, exchange suggestions and receive opinions!

So let's start with today's tutorial:

Since I'm organizing extra school drawing lessons, and the kid's age vary from 8 to 11, I had to study a very simple method that allows to draw in a simple way. It gives a fast and funny good result, but still permit to start exploring some of the three mosts important drawing's pillars that are: 3d forms, the structure behind everything that surround us and most important practice!!

This lesson is a point from which everyone can start !!

So we could start with an easy to remember recipe:

  • 1 sausage
  • 1 tomato

1 Sausage and 1 tomato! Don't worry, you're still in the right place ;D

Ok! Now it's time to place the tomato in the right place!

Next: add the legs and the neck

Time to create the tentacles and give him an expression!

DONE! You've just created a basic character structure!

Here's the turnaround of our basic character structure:

You can even try to begin to understand the 3d handeling by drawing a center line for the body and for the head. (The vertical line for the body pass through the navel, for the head throught the nose). Anyway don't worry, we'll lately see this topic better.

Now try to draw him doing some easy things, for example jump, run, smile and so on, you can even try to add some different dresses (don't forget to always start from the basic structure). Here's an example on what you can do with our easy recipe:

REMEMBER

  • start with some easy and very light lines
  • always start from the structure
  • draw a center line for the body and the head
  • draw every joint
  • draw even whats hidden
  • the body follow the movement
  • Finally try to underline what's important

I usually imagined human body as two socks that were put in one. Or like a bean:) But sausage is definitely a way to go:) Followed you for more sausages:) (kidding, for more tutorials;)

;D;D Next time we'll dish out some escargot

Looking forward to see it;)

that's cute
you should join @everlove's collaboration stuff if you have time

That's really cool! Can I even use a hot sausage for the drawing? :)

If you'll wear the cooking gloves: yes! :D

You're making people look tasty by doing this.
Will have to have a go at it.
Now... where is that frying pan?

It's warmly suggested to draw first and then eat the character (or any part of him) :D

Will be cool to see your entry!
