Choon has been covered by the BBC, Forbes, Coindesk and Billboard. More impressively, they have built a real working product and already launched our platform, which, in a bubbly blockchain space full of over-promise and under-delivery, we’re rather proud of.

But the music industry is fine… isn’t it?

No. It isn’t. None of the legacy streaming platforms is profitable. Spotify, Tidal, Soundcloud, Pandora: all losing money hand-over-fist, despite selling intangible digital goods where they incur no production costs, due to punitive deals with intermediaries and rights-holders. We avoid all this by only working with artists who entirely own their own music and that’s a major game-changer.

How Choon Works

By removing every intermediary, we’re able to drastically increase how much goes to artists. We’ve also implemented something we call Smart Record Contracts which allow bands to automatically split up their income on a daily basis and are currently building some features that also have listeners very excited including Monetised Playlists, where the playlist curator also gets a cut for their hard work.

Under the hood, Choon is powered by an ERC-20 Ethereum token called NOTES. We’ve taken 50% of the all-time supply of NOTES and will be distributing them back to artists over the next 10 years as an introductory, incentivised period. It’s proving to be a serious accelerant.

How to store your airdrop coins

Make sure you have an Ethereum ER20 token compatible wallet. You can create one with Metamask or MyEtherWallet. Once you've set up the wallet simply provide the new hexadecimal ID to claim your tokens. Do not use any hot wallet or cryptocurrency exchange wallet to try and store your airdrop token
