AirsoftSniper - Tree Bark Camouflage Project - Part 1

in airsoft •  7 years ago  (edited)

Airsoft sniping is a very big hobby for me. Getting that stealth long-shot can get me really excited.

I already have a home-made ghillie that I use at airsoft-games.

A well-known airsoft-sniper from Belgium Snake the Sniper recently posted a video where he created a camouflage for his rifle imitating a tree bark like texture.

This looked like fun! So I've started today with my own version. I like to try and add my own features to it so let's see how it'll go.

This is the VSR10 that I'm going to modify.

I'm starting with the silencer since I have no experience yet and it's the cheapest part (lol)
The first thing that I've done is sanding the silencer. I've bought Polyester Putty that I'm going to apply to the silencer.

I've applied the putty to the silencer and created a nice rough texture. Now it's time to let it dry and continue with the rest of the VSR10.

I'll be sure to post my progress here on Steemit!

Looks awesome!

Awesome project! How durable is that putty? Following this project.

For now it feels solid enough when it's hardened. I sanded it down to remove all the parts that can break.
I just posted part 2 of the project with the process of the stock.
