Mumbai: Ever since the launch of Reliance Jio last year, incumbent operators such as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Idea Cellular have tried to compete and strengthen their foothold in the market by offering discounts, reduced tariff plans.Free, mobile internet data has been one such initiative that operators have banked upon to retain and expand its subscriber base.In a similar move, Bharti Airtel, over the weekend, announced that it will be offering its postpaid customers up to 60 GB of free mobile internet 4G data
To avail the offer, postpaid users need to install the 'Airtel TV' application from either the Google Play store or Apple's App store and opt-in on the 'My Airtel' app.Once activated, customers will receive 10GB of mobile data every month for six months totaling to 60 GB.Bharti Airtel said that the new offer is similar to the Airtel Monsoon offer announced three months ago. The Monsoon offer included 10 GB of free data to postpaid customers with a validity of three months.
