Again, where will your legs take you?
On the fourth day of my stay in my hometown, Malay, Aklan, we decided to visit the Hinugtan White Beach of Buruanga, Aklan. It has now becoming popularly known for its white sand beach, which can again, compete to Boracay's powdered sand.
It has since been known to public after Boracay's closure issue. Locals started posting the place in social media, being proud of its virgin beauty. And surely, you won't regret spending time and cash there.
My brothers and I started our morning jog at around 5:48 in the morning. It's a little too late, but oh well, it's better late than never. And damn, I almost died getting there. Maybe because I am not used of running on a mountainous platforms. I don't know how many mountains have we been through to get there, but just imagine yourself running on an 8km marathon, that's how it feels like.
It took us less than an hour to get to the starting point of Hinugtan. And dang, the journey does not end there, another adventure awaits.
And because it was indeed a long journey, we managed to buy a pandesal (a locally and well-knowned bread of the Philippines) along the way.
And of course taking pictures along the way is a must.
And finally, after more or less 30 minutes of walking and talking about anything, we've reached the beach. 😍
Breathtaking...
A sight worth of all the struggles we had.
Beautiful...
I was lost for words because of the view.
We took our time to discover half of the place.
It's a combination of sight-seeing and a little trekking.
We stayed for an hour to take pictures, then we decided to go home.
Another challenge is climbing the steep slope in the entrance, so we decided to take a rest first. We badly need a lot of energy.
And yes we did it to the end of this oh-so-amazing-and-tiring-adventure-that-we-decided-to-take-the-bus-going-home.
And since we were really facinated by the Hinugtan view, we went back the afternoon. This time, we have all our time and energy to take a tour around to beach. It's pictorial time! My favorite. ☺️
We even have the time to go to the other end side of the beach.
It was lowtide, the best time to see a lot of starfishes, sea urchins, fishes and more sea creatures.
By around 5:30 we got the chance to see the beautiful sunset view of the place.
And finally, we took the cold waters.
Love. Love. Love. I love everything on the place, and surely you will.
So yes, I hope I'll be back once again.
